Casino movie, question about a Joe Pesci scene - 03/25/21 10:31 PM

I read the book back home, years ago. But I can't remember if this scene was in the book. I'm not a gambler. Is there any insinuation about HOW they're banging the casino out of the $200,000?

Is it not meant to be picked apart to that point, just assume they paid off a card dealer or something? Had someone rig a machine, or...

For example, you go for a $50k marker. The casino checks you have $50k in a bank account before they approve the marker. After they verify it the Casino will approve the marker (usually you have 10 to 30 days to pay back) before that deadline comes the Wiseguy will pull the money out of the bank and never pay back the marker netting a cool $50k.
