Bonanno big shot Johnny Joe - 11/16/20 03:24 PM

I hear he's out and making moves. Anyone know what his status is right now?

Got out of the feds in September this year. He might be in a halfway house at the moment.

He’s on house arrest but still technically reports to the halfway house until February. Johnny Joe has as much juice or more than any other Bonnano on the street right now and as myself and others have talked about on here for the last year or so many of his tight circle all got released in the last 3 years. Johnny Joe will be boss, mark my words.

I think you're right about that. He's also highly respected by the other families.

He still has to report to a halfway house, he is on house arrest. There has been talk once his probation is up that he will become an administration member.

Johnny doesn’t strike me as an “administration member” type of guy. They can call it that on here and for the Feds to split up the targets but he’s not answering to any fucking body at this point in his life.

It doesn't matter what title he'll have. He is the real power in that family. If I were a betting man, I'd say his official position will be underboss. Michael is just a figurehead.

Johnny Joe is John Spirito Sr., a powerful Bronx player who played an important role in the murder of George Sciascia and served as the right hand man of Patty DeFilippo for many years. Spent 20 years in prison and is now out. He's a tough guy with a lot of clout. I've heard he has money as well.

Wasn't one of the reasons that Anthony Seccaficco got whacked because he slapped Spirito's son? That's some power to have from behind prison walls.

I spent a lot of time around some pretty big name wiseguy’s in the can from multiple families and Johnny has clout among all of them. Maybe the most I’ve seen. Bruno and Bobby Manna might have had more but for different reasons. Johnny is legit feared.

Bobby is just indescribably pure gangster and has an aura that even the cops respected. Bruno was like a celebrity.

Johnny is just different.

Johnny has so many things going for him. He just has a way with people. People from other families would follow that man into hell. Bruno might be able to give him a run for his money, but he will be 76 when he gets out. If Johnny didn't exist, Bruno would be the boss.

so spirito sr as of now holds the rank of soldier and is in a halfway house but its claimed he is the real power in the family?
will his release from all parole restrictions be the point where he takes over the big seat?
or is spirito sr. a loyal #2 to mancuso?
who r his allies/crew out on the street now.

You pretty much answered your own question. I'd say you are 100% correct. This whole situation reminds me a little bit of the Vic and Gas situation with the Luccheses

Re: Bonanno big shot Johnny Joe - 11/06/21 01:43 PM

Yes seems to happen alot.
If cammarano is shelved and DiFiore is back as capo that would leave the UB position to spirito Sr.
But from time he entered prison he was a soldier and never ran his own crew.
A prev post mentioned he has connections to all the other families... Wonder who they r???
