Racketeer Rest & Relaxation

Racketeer Rest & Relaxation - 10/04/20 09:28 AM

You know fellas being a gangster can sometimes be difficult work. It's not all Peaches and Cannoli the way some prosecutors and agents would have you believe.

So every once in a while even the most hardened mafioso needs a bit of a break and some laughs. We here at ButtonGuys thought it might be fun to take a good look at how wiseguys and racketeers like to do just that. What makes em laugh. What they like to eat. What they really feel about life in general; this great country of ours, their family life (and we're not talkin their borgata here), their kids, etc.

With Columbus Day (no its not Indigenous Peoples Day) fast approaching on Monday, October 12th, I thought it was appropriate to post up this page that I had created some months back for just this very purpose. To show a little bit of the "other side" of mob guys. Because although some of them may be well versed in swinging a Louisville Slugger or handling the business end of a rope or garrote when required for the borgata, most mob guys I've met had tremendous personalities, and as hard as it is to conceptualize, they were warm and engaging fellas.... So long as they liked ya and you stayed on their good side. Lol

And to a man, they all love this country we call America, and our Genoese hometown boy Cristoforo Colombo, better known the world over as Christopher Columbus, the man who discovered this great country of ours (Fuck all that political correctness bullshit). And we get real defensive when anyone dares to fuck with either one of em!

So take a good look at what mob guys are REALLY like.... enjoy!

PS: If made correctly every one of those recipes are mind-blowingly delicious. Take your time and try a few. I promise you won't be disappointed.

I don't know if you guys are into it, but if so then try these recipes. Either download em for your wives, girlfriends, or moms to make for you. If any of you know how to cook, then try em yourselves. If you like em, I have a few more "Proprio Siciliano" delicacies that I will post up for the forum.

Thats great. I've owned several restaurants in NYC over the years. Italian mainly, but these recipes I posted up are primarily from family and the streets of NY. lol
