M. Mancuso? - 08/06/20 06:05 PM

Any info on him or his administration since he was released? How about the Columbo's since Persico died?

Not really, but he appears to be firmly in charge of the family. It will be interesting to see what happens once Johnny Joe leaves the halfway house. That's less than a month away.

In my opinion Cacace would be a good boss for the Colombos.

He's a serious dude so being a boss won't be out of league.

Mancuso is the boss. He put Joe Cammarano Jr and John Zancocchio on the shelf last year. John Palazzolo is the acting boss again (and possibly the official underboss). Palazzolo is being assisted in running the family by a panel. Vincent Badalamenti might have been recognised as the consigliere by Mancuso's loyalists, so it's possible he's consigliere now but that's more speculative.

Andrew Russo has been the acting boss of the Colombos since Persico died.

Johnny Joe is John Spirito Sr. A very respected and a very feared man who used to be a top enforcer for Patty DeFilippo. If anyone could challenge the nose for the top spot, it's him. I know Bruno Indelicato is another one but he's still got a few years left and may be too old

I think it’s Johnny Joe’s if he wants it. The amount of respect I seen that man get from all the other families and the prison administration was second to none. It almost seemed(to me anyway) that even Bruno deferred to Johnny Joe. Don’t get me wrong, Bruno wouldn’t back down from 15 DC blacks with knives if it came down to it but Johnny was the shot caller for that crew. No question

You are absolutely correct. I've been telling people about Johnny Joe's clout for a long time. When he was in Fairton, he pretty much ran everything. Gambinos, Genoveses, Colombos, they did everything that guy wanted. The only other guy who got the same amount of respect was Bobby Manna

I was at Fairton from January of 10 to April of 13, out of the halfway Oct 13.

Johnny is smart, tough as nails and earns enough to be respected for more than his balls but not enough to where he gets held down from a leadership position because he earns too good to be a target.

My guess and all that’s all it is, if he had as much respect as Bobby manna it’s due more to the lack of high powered members being alive and incarcerated than in the past and shows the lack of members with real pedigree these days. Who else was there? I could be wrong but I’d like to know who was also there, Bobby manna is legendary and the real deal so to compare spiritos respect to him is a huge statement esp. since it seems a lot of posters only knock his family and Columbos as glorified gangs. Which I never agreed with, but to say this guy got the same respect as manna is curious to me. Seems it would debunk those who say his family is a street gang, no?
