Surveillance of Carmine Persico in 1979-1981 - 07/28/20 05:35 PM

I've brought up a topic or two in the last year about Carmine Persico getting paroled in 1979. I still haven't been able to get alot of Information about his time on the streets as boss in that 2-3 year period. What was the guy doing? Was he meeting with the other commission members (Corallo; Castellano; etc)

Was he that low-key of a boss in 1979-1981 where no pictures of him was taken?

It's strange that no-one mentions his time on the streets in that period.

Not much surveillance during that time at least made public. The FBI organized specific squad for each family around 1980-81. However the only significant surveillance from 1979 was at the The Ravenite from April-August 79

Scarpa talks about him plenty in his FBI file. Franzese talks about him during that time period. I'm sure law enforcement took plenty of surveillance pictures of him they just haven't made it online.

@JCrusher

Persico must have been really low key during that 2-3 period because no-one talks about him on the streets. Was he on the streets when Galante got whacked? I know he didn't approve of his murder.

@MightyDR

I would love to see the surveillance pictures of him. Everything we see of him; He's in prison or when he was a captain. Franzese does talk about him in one of his documentaries. Think it was in that 79-81 period when they both were on the streets.
