Thanks Dilorenzo.. looks good except they put that dipshit John Alite in there and theyre talking about Gotti again which ruins it for me ive had enough discussion about him and Castellano for a lifetime

I agree Mikey. I wish they would focus on other mobsters for a change

Looks great. I hope there's some good info, footage and audio we haven't come across before.

I think we're going to have to get used to Alite chiming in on anything Mafia related these days. He's set himself up as an "expert". Franzese too, but at least he was a player in the time period they cover.

I'd seen it before but you've gotta love Fat Tony and the reporter. "Go fuck yourself" "Thank you" "You're welcome" lol

Hmm. Looks like Netflix is just remaking Inside The American Mob. Same timeline, same interview subjects. Still looking forward to it, but it’s probably just be a rehashing of a story told 100 times before.

.
That’s a fair statement. It sounds very similar. I guess the main reason I’m watching is that we are supposed to get new surveillance footage. Over the past year I’ve been working off and in with Ravenite fbi surveillance video I’ve gathered from documentaries going back to the 80’s. I’m hoping to add more finish it up and release it in here soon

Idk how many of you all watched this... its ehh theres some decent new wire taps but half the time they dont id whos saying what... they veered off into Gotti a little which is annoying as fuck i get why since Paul was whacked before the trial but still. Lotta good law enforcement insight about how they bugged places altho everytime i see Lin Devecchio on screen i wonder how on earth hes not in prison

My 2 main beefs were not enough about the Genovese and Fat Tony wiretaps. And literally zero mention of Carmine Persico at all or him defending himself?! They talked more about Gerry Langella since they bugged him but he wasnt the boss!?

And Last thing they Kept saying how the mob controlled the city in the 1970s yet didnt make any specific examples just later about the concrete club... its worth a watch but not more than once the old Bill Kurtis docs are better

Side note: Anyone know what happened to that doc American Rackets about Jimmy Naps son and the NJ Genovese bust in 1988? That looked fascinating trailer was great and its an area thats not been discussed? Was supposed to be released by now i thought

It was basically a rehash if things we saw or read before. Other than a few new surveillance shots there was t anything fresh. I also hate seeing DeVecchio on there considering all the bad shit he did. Although he did make it a point not to mention his relationship Scarpa like he has in the past

I saw the documentary a few nights ago (Anthony Corallo's nephew Bobby told me about it) He said it's the first time that people could see his uncle in a suit instead of the tight cardigans. Lol.

1. There were some interesting wiretaps that I've never heard.

2. Seeing Gennaro Langella walk out of court or out of jail on bail was a never before scene clip.

3. The 1984 Commission meeting surveillance was interesting. I've seen a few photos but there were some that I've never seen.

4. There were a dead clips of Carmine Galante I've never seen. They say he had like 84 bullet holes?

Most of the other stuff were things I've already heard or knew about.

Jcrusher- good point he didnt mention Scarpa at all but i mean you would think those other legit feds and prosecutors would say i dont want him in this documentary i mean he talks about all the work he did on the commission case and how proud he was of what they accomplished like give me a fuckin break

Way too much on Paul Castellano too like u said rehashing shit about his mistress and stuff. Didnt they wire tap Tom Mix Santoro and Christy Tick? Never seen or heard those tapes they shoulda included that

Yeah a lot if the feds stock up for him. Regular NY cops like my father despised DeVecchio. Not only did he let a maniac run around knowing full well he was killing people but he also he admits he has a friendship with him and in his own words “I got close to crossing the line”. Well we know he really did cross it. As for Big Paul yeah it was too much stuff we knew. However they made it seem like we were going up finally get to hear a lot of his wiretap conversations. It was a big letdown that they didn’t release it
