The Last Dance and the Outfit - 05/18/20 10:18 PM

The Last Dance was one of the greatest documentaries of all time. They didn't hide Jordan's love for gambling and the nightlife and he was fortunate that it was in the 90s and not today. I was wondering if anyone knows if he was close to anyone in the Outfit or if he golfed or was known to socialize with anyone involved. I in no way think his Dad was murdered for ties to the mob or illegal gambling I think 2 tweekers just killed a random dude, Just interested to know if anyone from Chicago or that area heard anything of Jordan and associating with anyone. I know where I lived for a time when he was playing baseball in Florida and all of the stories of him in this town are a fact with the females. Great documentary and did not like the bulls but Jordan is just the absolute GOAT.

I think the most recent pro athlete to have known mob association was Rich Tocchet, who's cash setup a gambling ring that involved Gretzky's wife amongst others. I think Lindros met Joey Merlino back in the day too.

Tocchet is friends with Joey Merlino, 100% I have seen them together. Tocchet used to hang out at this Sports Bar called Legends in South Philly that was a real hot spot in the 80s and 90s with wiseguys , athletes, and hot broads etc. The NJ State Trooper that ran the day to day of that gambling ring with Tocchet - James Harney was a bartender at Legends before he became a NJ State Trooper. The ring allegedly was under Staino. That’s how Harney, Tocchet, Merlino, and Staino are all linked through that sports bar in South Philly called Legends that’s no longer around. It was way before my time, I never got the chance to set foot in there, have heard it was a great place...
