Re: The Youngstown Bombing Wars - 05/13/20 04:11 PM

Side Note: I was a young boy at the time of this incident. I distinctly remember my father and uncles being incensed at this wanton act of reckless violence. Other members ofthe mafia across the country felt the same way. It was an infamnia against innocent families, wives and children that had to be stopped. A “law” was soon implemented throughout the borgatas, “No more bombs” allowed….of course it goes to show how whacky the Youngstown crews were that despite this edict, they would continue with these bombings in total violation of Cosa Nostra rules.

So you're indicating that you're from Youngstown?

Why do I feel that I've read all of what you've posted here starting with The La Rocca Family of Pittsburgh came from another forum?
How 'bout telling all of us where all of what you posted came from or would you have us believe that it all generated from you and or your associate?

Most of that information does some pretty familiar. I would be interested in reading about the other families that had interests in Youngstown, Buffalo and Detroit. I think that DiCarlo was Buffalo's guy, I am not sure who represented Detroit. It would be cool to learn about how long they operated in Youngstown, who they were aligned with, etc.

Ya, it all came from the same forum, not this one, and mostly the same author. The author was neither NYMafia or his mystery associate.
DeCarlo was a Buffalo Guy and sent to open The Jungle Inn. All of which is detailed elsewhere by a couple of very knowledgeable guys.

“Of course some of the info can be found elsewhere, it’s their history. There is only 1 history, not 2!...but I challenge him (Or anybody else) to find that same “document” or story written anywhere else. It’s was a compilation of FBI documents, google searches, government reports, and archived newspaper articles that we put together to form a comprehensive story about Youngstown”....and by the way Henry, instead of complaining about other writers who “put in the time and effort” to try and create interesting storylines for our readers, why doesn’t “Henry” try and create something himself? Or doesn’t he have the skill and writing abilities? I know you’re an excellent bellyacher and rabel-rouser, but do you have any talent? ....that’s MY challenge to YOU! Or are you just an armchair, Monday morning cry baby quarterback?” - signed “The Other Guy”

PS: and try writing something other than about the 4 blocks and 3 guys in Pittsburgh you “THINK” or would Like us to believe you know about!

Re: The Youngstown Bombing Wars - 05/14/20 05:13 PM

Well, Mr.Other Guy, Everything your "time and effort" has shown is simply what you've copied from The Black Hand Forum either before or after you were thrown off.
Unlike you research only guys that never spent any time with made men and live their lives vicariously through their research only, some of us really spent time with them.
I'm sure you read all the storylines that went with my pictures you posted without asking me if it was OK, that you know that I really spent quite a bit of time with all the Pittsburgh guys you write about. Hell, you're not even smart enough to correct your reporting errors that I've been kind enough to PM your flunky with the corrections.

PS: Maybe some of the members here will come forward and verify that unlike you, I'm the real deal.

All I can tell you is Friend_of_Henry is the Real Deal. I've met him - I know the who, what, when, where and how of his people. There are others on this Board and other Boards who know the Real Youngstown, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Detroit, Erie Pa Connections.

I lived on Dover road in Youngtown from 62-69 (as a child). There was a bombing on that road before we moved there. And thanks to you Ytown guys that post. Great stuff. I miss the pizza.

Does anyone know why Cleveland just let other families
Use Youngstown for their own benefit ?
Wasn't Dom Mallamo Calabrasian? Like Tony Milano?

Re: The Youngstown Bombing Wars - 05/14/20 08:49 PM

Didn’t someone try and blow up Don King, the boxing promoter? Thought he was from the Cleveland area.

Another way the Mob and boxing are tied together.

Re: The Youngstown Bombing Wars - 05/14/20 09:31 PM

Big Dom's nephew was a member here for quite some time.In fact he's who NYMafia and The "Other Guy" are coping most of their info from without his knowledge.
I'll ask Dom's nephew your question as I'm sure he'll have the answer. I know that Big Dom was Calabrasian and one of the Pittsburgh bosses that ran the Mahoning Valley.
Ya, Don King took Ernie Shavers away from a great guy in the paving business who was friends with Jo Jo Pecora.
When they all met in Youngstown, Blackie couldn't allow Jo Jo to make Don King an offer he couldn't refuse.

What's amazing here, Friend of Henry, is that you were quite nice in your private messages, but once we failed to contact you as a source for information, you came running out of the shadows and started this BS. You can accuse and rip apart all you want - that's your prerogative and this is a free country. However, I stand by everything the Other Guy has written, what I have written, and everything else on our site.

If you don't like what we have to say, don't go to our site, and waste your time. For someone who's so insulted and bent out of shape about all your accusations, it's amazing, you can't stop talking about it.

Also, the only people I'm aware of that enjoy boasting and talking about all their "in the know" knowledge and past history to the extent which you claim you have shared here - in a public forum no less - ...is....well....I won't go there.

Don King is 88 now and still enjoying his $170 million fortune.

Running out of what shadows? When you rejected to correct your errors then why would or should I try to help.

By your own admission, you really believe your bull shit. I can or don't stop talking about people places and things that I actually lived through that you report incorrectly.

I don't boast about the people I grew up with but I certainly do enjoy those by gone experiences. You can't go there 'cause as close you got to made man was shining his shoes.

Let's see, that makes 3 different user names: KingJohn - NYMafia - MafiaStudent. Must be a reason that you've had to use 3 different ones. You're a joke!

Re: The Youngstown Bombing Wars - 05/15/20 12:02 AM

Just for your information....MafiaStudent is on a completely different board and has no bearing to this board. Secondly, I requested from the administrator of THIS BOARD to change my user name from KingJohn to NYMafia before I even started posting and many months after I signed up and never posted - and he kindly obliged.

Re: The Youngstown Bombing Wars - 05/15/20 12:06 AM

And the MafiaStudent user name over on the other board came into being long before The New York Mafia was even conceived or launched. So.....keep talking, bud.

Re: The Youngstown Bombing Wars - 05/15/20 12:13 AM

And one final thing, you moron, there's no reason for me to talk about being a "made man" because I'm a girl which I've never hidden when asked. So take your insults and tuck them back in your asshole where they belong.

Re: The Youngstown Bombing Wars - 05/15/20 12:38 AM

Gender doesn't make a difference: Man or Woman you're still a $3. phony. I've never said that either you or I was a made man I've only said that you never really knew a made man and the only way you know about them is the internet. Keep spreading your bull shit and no one will respond to it. In fact: Stick a fork in me, I'm done!

Re: The Youngstown Bombing Wars - 05/15/20 03:54 AM

I normally don't get involved in forum disputes between members, but I feel compelled to make an exception in this case.
A little background on me: I am in my mid 60's, born and raised in the West End of Pittsburgh. Over the years,I've gotten to know some of the local people that we discuss on this board.
Lest you write me off as a wanna be let me say this. I don't claim to be best friends with these guys, and some of the interaction was at social situations, and some BS'ing over drinks in various "clubs". My Father and Uncle were involved in a medium size Numbers operation, and I have friends in the 1% biker community.
Bottom line, I have a little more knowledge and have met a few more connected guys than the average local resident.
But enough about me.
I have no doubt that Friend_of_Henry is exactly who he says he is.In some of the posts we've gone back and forth on.he mentioned things that convince me that he knows the Pittsburgh scene above and beyond the stuff that anybody can find on the Internet. He is the 24 karat "real deal", and by childishly attacking his experience and worse than that attacking him on a personal level, you are only betraying your own ignorance.
Again this is only my opinion, but I'll lay odds that in 5 minutes, this guy can lay out more legitimate first-hand info than can be found in 100 generic on-line forums.
F.O.H does not strike me as a bullshitter. He's lived it,knows it,and I'm sure, holds back a lot more than what he posts.
So with all due respect, lighten up.

Thanks Lou_Para for jumping in

Nice to have another person around on this...

FOH has a much higher association in Pittsburgh than I had. I had a much higher association in the Cleveland, Akron, Canton, and to some extent in Youngstown (let just say different but the same).

Youngstown was always different - it had a different feel depending on which decade you are talking about. No sense in trying to recap Youngstown here - I don't have that kind of time.

I am so busy in Chicago anymore with what goes on there - I don't have the time to debate and discuss the old days of 40+ years ago interactions.

Glad to do it.
What's right is right.
If these guys wanna talk trash, then they should do their research, talk to the "right" people, (if they know any, which I doubt) , then come on the boards. Don't rehash stuff. or rely on juvenile attacks.
