Raymond L.S Patriarca. - 01/14/20 02:57 AM

Whenever they bring up mafia bosses in terms of power
Longivity among other adjectives rarely do hear his name
Mentioned.
You see Accardo, Gambino, Marcello, Trafficante,Scalish....but very rarely Patriarca..
I know Bill Belicheck has been the reigning boss in New England for some time now.
But Patriarca had a nice run as the boss of New England
Is he overlooked or is it just me ??

Patriarca and that whole family's rich history usually seem to be overlooked when the mob is discussed. He had a great run.

They've uploaded his whole FBI file here:

Patriarca sr reign is overlooked because the Mob experts are focused on the patriarca jr weak leadership and the family decline and of course on the first making ceremony to be recorded.
I think that Patriarca sr was smart to transfert his base to RI "because is more easy to rule on a small state" and gave to Angiulo the Boston rackets.

30yr run on top he went to jail for about8yrs thou 68 to 76 and came rite back to the boss chair. He was very close to vito genovese and other bosses around the country but wasnt very close to carlo gambino. Its in the file he doesnt trust gambino so much he recorded saying he plays to many games. He shares the national laborer union with chicago and did alot of business with other familys around the usa. From reading the files it sounds like he never wanted to get dragged into the politics of the 5families. He would meet with luchese alot the shared some racetrack in western ma and the genovese had a satelight family in ma an ct. Also ray waa inducted into the family by costello and transferd to bucculo/lombardo in boston in boston. He had anuff juice to induct 6 guys in 1956 and immediately transfer them to the genovese family as a favor to genovese capo icoonne who was locked up on tax irs stuff. He basically just ran the ceremony then sent them to the capo incharge in mass at the time

Of all the stuff I have read on NE LCN there's very little reports, wiretaps or informant talk about Gerry and Ray Sr meeting and colabrating. Like reports of Sr in Boston, in the north end or Gerry in Providence on Atwells Ave.

az the fbi illgeally bugged abunch of mafia clubs and offices in the the 60tys, theres a book about sammy the plumber decavalacante in new jersey they published his whole 1 or 2 yrs of just gossip in his plumber company office where guys would come and go. they had rays office on atwlls ave bugged for like 1yr it all in those files the guy linked its along and heavily redacted read but tis there, thats why surposely ray wanted to kill his brother cause he was in charge of secruity of the shop and a soldier i forgort his name he was based in providence got whacked cause he wanted the government to head over the illegal taped they made so he could use it in his irs tax trial and ray said no and the guy wanted to bring it to the commission in ny so ray had him killed his nickname was the fox or something he was very well liked but he went aginst the boss. they also had gerry A nightclub in the dangerzone bugg to. all the ugs were illegal and the feds couldnt use the info to build cases it happend all over the country. i forgot why only sammy the plumbers illegal bugs were published i think the new york times or someone sued for freedom of info act back then

I haven't found the one where it says who he was made with, but in this one he says he was in a New York family at the time he got out of jail and was transferred back to Boston later on.

he had a good turn out at his wake funeral. i think i see the scibelli brothers from the springfield genovese crew there. looks like alot of old wiseguys in the old suits everywhere. is that matty g at the end of the video telling a camera guy stop filming him. pretty sure it is. it was packed i wonder if gotti an neil d went they were close to ray sr. they had to have been there. must have been a all day n night event to. i never heard he had a big funeral that think was packed

He was very overlooked and had ties to Vegas casinos too so he was definitely raking in cash. Hell I doubt Junior has ever had to truly work
