Ralph Santaniello was set to be made and put in charge of the Springfield crew until he and his crew were busted in 2013 for another 'not so smart' extortion bust. He is incarcerated.
Amadeo is Ralph's Dad, who only came back from Florida after Bruno was killed, due to a falling out.

Unbeknownst to the others, Depergola and Santaniello later met with Onofrio and an undercover FBI agent to hand over the cash. Onofrio later complained to the agent that he'd prefer not to go to his cohorts up north for money.

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – 3 garbage trucks caught fire at Republic Services Waste Management on Burnett Road in Chicopee early Friday morning.

The Chicopee fire department confirmed with our 22News crew that 3 trucks were burning around 3:00AM Friday.

Our crew also saw one ambulance there, along with police officers directing traffic.

No word yet on whether anyone is hurt.

It's been happening there all summer. This whole crew went down repeatedly for extortion attempts, almost surprised that calvanese or whoever's left with him would try this...this is not going to work at all. extortion plus arson equals fucked in present day springfield/chicopee/longmeadow, imho.

Garbage truck fire prompts Chicopee police to close Burnett Road near Ludlow line

CHICOPEE — No injuries were reported Monday morning after a garbage truck burst into flames on Burnett Road near the Ludlow line.

Michael Wilk, public information officer for Chicopee police, said the garbage truck was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. Police closed Burnett Road at the Ludlow line while firefighters extinguished the fire. Wilk, speaking at approximately 11 a.m., said the roadway should be reopened shortly.

The Springfield crew are a bunch of idiots. Shakedowns belong in the past because people don't put up with shit anymore, they run straight to the feds. This ain't the 1950's, you can't start burning garbage trucks and not expect the law to rain down a shit storm.

^ keep in mind these factors:

- most of guys up there are of Nola-Avellino-Benevento peasant stock, straight out of the armpit of Campania. They make the Gottis look like the Royal Family;

- Springfield is a small community and, whether we agree or not, they do have pull still, despite the mess since Bruno’s death;

- the Greek guy doing life that killed Whitey must have made them earn some street cred. Crazy to think about but that’s how that world is.

- Lastly, I don’t doubt that they have more guys than what we may be led to believe.

Fist,you can be a punk even if youre a pure sicilian;
Second,the city is small but the state is big so can expand out springfield;
Third,I doubt that a lifer can increase the street reputation of a mob crew;
Fourth,you can have 6 or 10 made men but if they haven't the brain to go out shylock and arson,there are problem.

And anyway I come from the Nola area.
