At this morning's York Regional Police press conference, the Director of the Servizio centrale operativo (Sco) in Rome -- Fausto Lamparelli -- stated that 12 individuals were arrested in Italy last night, people who were linked to those arrested by the York Regional Police here in the Greater Toronto Area. The Italian-language article to which I've linked below has a list of the 12 arrested.

Re: BREAKING: PROJECT SINDACATO (York Regional Police) - 07/18/19 09:13 PM

One of those charged, Salvatore Oliveti appears to the the Salvatore Oliveti who was once a CHIN Radio personality in Toronto.

He was a Board member for "rev it up" for Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. They organized an annual motercycle ride to raise funds for Sick Kids. He also owned a motercycle shop in Vaughan.

https://www.yorkregion.com/news-story/2506626-people-we-love-vaughan-businessman-revs-it-up/

https://revitupforsickkids.com/committee-members/

He's also the owner of Option B Solutions based out of Vaughan... It's a privately held secondary auto lease and finance company offering financing for cars for those with less than stellar credit. A few Google reviews warn of shady practices.

OLIVETI was charged with Money Laundering in this sting which leads me to suspect he might have been using his financing company as a means to wash the cash.

This part really struck me with respect to how powerful the Canadian clans have become..

"The Canadian Figliomeni family is so powerful, according to director Faustus Lamparelli of the Italian state police, who spoke at the YRP press conference, that it's one of the first known crime families in Canada actually giving orders to associates in Italy."

Still amazes me..

"Italian State Police Director Fausto Lamparelli, who was at the Ontario press conference, said via a translator the Figliomeni Crime Family must have been significant as it was able to operate its crimes without asking permission from Italy.

“This is something we have never seen in Italy,” said Lamparelli.

Interesting he mentions the name of an associate of these York Calabrians who was killed in 2013 and was suspected in the slaying of Nick Rizzuto Sr. So maybe the Calabrians were involved with Reynald and Sal the Ironworker to takeover Montreal after all? (not to derail the thread lol)

Yes.

Oliveti was also captured on Italian wiretaps about 10 years ago, in which he was talking to mobsters noted in the story linked below.

https://www.thestar.com/news/crime/2010/12/19/lawyer_insists_client_not_a_mobster.html

The story about the wiretaps also notes the following (relevance to the Figliomeni clan)

Quote
In addition to Oliveti, six other GTA men were named in the warrants, including; brothers Angelo Figliomeni, 48, and Cosimo Figliomeni, 45; cousin Tito Figliomeni, 41; Francesco Commisso, 62; Vincenzo Figliomeni, 64; and Domenico Giorgini, 45.

I'm expecting more charges in this case...

Just the casino laundering aspect of it required more bodies and the charity that was being run by Oliveti needed more people to make the scheme function.

Also, seems like Vito Sili was their card player (there's a Vito Sili from Canada registered in the professional poker player database .. minimal winnings but he could have registered to make himself seem legit. I can't imagine he was making the daily cash runs to the Casino alone or playing alone)

From the article below ..

In addition to that, Vito Sili and Salvatore Oliveti among others were cuffed for the subsequent money laundering taking place at casino locations.

The 'ndrangheta axis between Canada and Siderno, closed investigations for 20 people: names and photos
by Rocco Muscari - 11 November 2019

The magistrates of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Reggio Calabria have closed the investigation against twenty people involved, in various ways, in the maxi-operation called "Canadian 'Ndrangheta Connection" . For eight other people, most of whom are subjects who are abroad and in particular in Canada, the Dda proceeds separately.

The anti-mafia prosecutor's office disputes a series of crimes ranging from participation in a mafia association, to the fictitious entry of assets, to crimes concerning weapons and more.

The articulated and delicate investigation made use of the work of the Sco's investigators and the Anti-Crime Service of the Reggio Calabria Police Headquarters, which focused on what was happening in Siderno in the immediacy of the murder of Carmelo Muià , known as Mino , killed on the evening of 18 January 2018 in the Ionian town.

These are the names of the 20 suspects : Michelangelo Archinà; Domenico Cerisano; Emanuela Figliomeni; Teresa Figliomeni; Bruno Filippone; Francesco Filippone; Cosimo Futia called "Shuster"; Antonio Galea; Marilena Gravina; Giuseppe Gregoraci called "Pino"; Pietro Ieraci; Giuseppe Macrì; Antonio Mamone; Armando Muià; Giuseppe Muià; Vincenzo Muià (cl. 72); Vincenzo Muià (cl. 68); Vincenzo Muià known as "the fontaniere" (October 1969); Vincenzo Muià (November 1969); Santo Rumbo.

https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/20...s-found-dead-in-italian-prison-cell.html

Quote
Giuseppe (Pino) Gregoraci, 51, of Siderno, Italy, was found dead in his cell last week, according to a report in the Italian newspaper il Quotidiano del Sud. Gregoraci had hanged himself, and was dead by the time first aid workers at Voghera prison in the Lombardy region, the newspaper reported.
Italian police said Gregoraci was a lieutenant under Giuseppe (The Master) Commisso in the ’Ndrangheta — or Calabrian Mafia — and had tight ties to the GTA.

Gregoraci visited the Toronto area last spring, looking for clues on the murder of his cousin Carmelo (Mino) Muia, who was shot dead in Siderno on Jan. 18, 2018, police said.

looking over articles of sindacato arrests and subsequent london ontario illegal gambling bust dec,2019 in which the 2 were joined the links to the H.A. go back to the large 2013 platinum sb arrests.
i have always read that moreno gallo had control of the MTL 'book' before his 2012 deportation and then 2013 murder.at some point after getting released from prison the Rizzuto faction took back control of the gambling in MTL/'the book'.Vito had long standing connections to london ontario H.A. members and as i mentioned above had retaken ctrl of gambling.
i guess what i'm driving at is it possible that the Rizzuto Faction of MTL mafia have an alliance with the figliomeni faction of the siderno group.
the figliomeni bros were thought to be responsible for the murder of carmine verduci over gambling territory.verduci was also thought to be part of the GTA 'ndrangheta that was backing the desjardins/devito/montagna group for ctrl of MTL mafia(2009-2011).the hit on verduci could have served 2 purposes for both groups revenge and take over of territory.
it could at least show that the figliomeni bros. were not part of group backing desjardins et al. 2009-2011.

Re: BREAKING: PROJECT SINDACATO (York Regional Police) - 02/18/20 12:08 PM

Most likely the alliance would of been struck in Southern Italy via lodges/masonry, or at least via Southern Italians that ascribe to those beliefs.

Rizzuto are West Coast Sicily, specifically Agrigento, there was a high concentration of West Coast Sicilians that immigrated into Hamilton specifically, from Agrigento in the early 1900’s.

There were Figliomeni that were either using the last name Ross or Romeo, two brothers Frank and Mike, that were Rocco Perri/Railway Street. As well, as many Sicilians from Agrigento, specifically Racalmuto, which is a sister city of Hamilton via the United Nations. Bordinaro , Agro, Speziale, Sylvestro/Silverstri are a couple names, I’m capable of recalling.

These Sigs from Agrigento, were instrumental in ratifying CN in 1931, tied to the other side via the Church and Masonry. When the original 5 families were created, it included all Southern Italians, not just Sigs.

So a thread between the Figliomeni and West Coast Sigs from Agrigento, like Rizzuto, could have been in place for over a 100 years in Canada, through the other side of the Atlantic. If a deal was struck, this could be a thread that was used.

This is horrible ... perhaps the media attention outed some of these players (they don't care) but to have such a large criminal organization skate free and keep their millions leaves a f*c*ing rage in my gut ... I've witnessed first hand the damage that these organizations inflict in the community ... and like I said, to have them skate irks me to no end.

Didn’t the government also violate Leonardo Rizzuto’s rights as well in their investigation in 2015. Seems like the same thing, queers and steers lol 😝

Does anyone know if the Charbonneau Commission, represented the dark pools of money with Tony Magi and Tony Iavarone with some Battalgia in Hamilton, that used to be Harry Bowman’s OLMC? Now I hear that they are all pink hearts aka pink star, like in auschwitz?

They might know the Musitano that change his name as well, Battalgia is a Reilly or some weak Irish ☘️ and Musitano is some inferior Declaudio or something like that ?

It happens in many cases and now with pgp messages there is even more chance police cross the lines. At least in this high profile case there were no murders.

Re: BREAKING: PROJECT SINDACATO (York Regional Police) - 02/25/21 03:01 PM

Just spit balling here after a good discussion with some colleagues at the office ...

Charges haven't been dropped ... but stayed. The crown can bring new charges within a year that must not be based on the evidence brought into question

My local sources tell me that there were dozens of construction companies, real estate agents, mortgage brokers etc. involved helping to move the money ... note that they were NOT in the original charge and many more charges were pending as a result of spin off investigations

It was suggested by a lawyer in our office that perhaps, just perhaps, the crown didn't argue the motion at this time as it would have either jeopardized parallel investigations or tipped their hand and prejudiced other investigations... so better to not argue the motion, take the stay and have confidence in the findings of the parallel investigations .....

If information gathered by investigators at CRA or YRP determine a Figliomeni relationship with a real estate agent for example ... charges against that agent can proceed as can any NEW CHARGES against Figliomeni so long as the evidence used to bring the agent into suspicion was not collected improperly ...

Normally when there is evidence of improper data collection, THAT evidence gained from that illegal intercept is excluded, NOT ALL OTHER EVIDENCE. I'm sure more will come out in the coming days and weeks.

So they have options ... Personally, I think the Crown bought themselves a year... if we so no new charges filed and no new against brand new defendants, safe to say, that clan got the MULLIGAN of their life.

I'll choose to wait.

As I understand it Tony Magi had no connection to Hamilton. There are no Battalgias living there either. From what I have heard there is a family name Battaglia that had some ownership with the airport there, I think he passed away last month Antonio was his name.

Re: BREAKING: PROJECT SINDACATO (York Regional Police) - 02/27/21 01:26 PM

Cool, thanks man!

I’m pretty sure it was his connections to Toronto, via the Stock Markets, that Tony Magi had. How it worked across the province? best bet talk to the Presidents and Police Chiefs. What do I know? Something to do with Legal Weed? Maybe Fantino or Bill Blair, they’re both in the Liberal Government I believe, similar to Paul Martin or Jean Chrétien.

Whatever family used to own Visions Strip Club in Hamilton? speaks right to the class of people that they are, low grade white or something along those lines. They aren’t anywhere close to the White Supremacist/Homophobic SS, that that city pretends to be or used to be.

There use to be a strong visible Skinhead movement in Hamilton, as well. I don’t know if people are cognizant of that.

Isn’t 1% suppose to be Straight White men only? Or is that not the case in Canada?

I don’t know which club it was in Montreal, but whatever one Salvatore and Giovanni Cazetta, as well as MOM. Basically, there’s level to 1% and these other people ain’t like those guys.

Massive money laundering ring busted in Quebec
Operation Collector is an extensive investigation that RCMP used to dismantle an international money laundering network based in Montreal and Toronto. The crackdown targeted 19 suspects, including a dozen in greater Montreal. The network is said to have helped the Hells Angels and other criminal groups to do business with drug cartels in Mexico, cocaine producers Colombia, and Chinese suppliers of synthetic drugs.
Cops observed Quebec couriers carrying cash-filled sports bags from Montreal to Toronto. Alleged leaders of the network are Lavallois Mohamad Jaber, 51, and Kamel Ghaddar, 39, men with links to the Lebanese underworld who were involved in a failed attempt to import 132 kg of cocaine in April 2017. Two suspects are still wanted by the RCMP: Montrealer Victor Vargotskii, 56, and Francisco Javier Jimenez Guerrero, 35.

In other news, it has been revealed that a huge money laundering case in B.C. was abandoned because prosecutors incompetently released the identity of a secret police informant.

I believe this is the network, that connects the dead 💀 Tony Magi to the province of Ontario and Quebec. If you can get a connection to Bay St. or the Montreal Stock Exchange 📈 📉 , your probability of getting insight might increase.

Yes I can more likely see Magi connection in Toronto than Hamilton. He was into the construction of buildings here and he probably branched out into T. O. Through construction firms there in Wood bridge I asked my cousin and he said Visions strip Club was owned by Rita Owen In 2007 -2009. Greg Dahlia who was close to an Italian crime family as a silent partner there he basically ran the show.

Re: BREAKING: PROJECT SINDACATO (York Regional Police) - 03/02/21 11:04 AM

Cool man!

I’m pretty sure there was a Dahlia family that was busted selling blow a long time ago, the kid and parents. I believe the dad was like some high school teacher or something, what mob family are they close with?

The people I was referring to, grandfather owned Visions, they were/are tied into Steeltown Boxing in Hamilton, they have an HA Trevor Pittman who basically funded their gym. The article mentions that Pittman is a boxing 🥊 promoter with 3 Lions Promotions.

http://threelionspromotions.com/home/about/
https://steeltownboxing.ca/
https://www.pressreader.com/canada/the-welland-tribune/20171130/281621010656520

Similar to Joe Ertel HA president of Ontario and wife, the 3 Lions seem to have open connections to charities and government type of people. The only way OC members can advertise that IMO is if they are all COPPED UP!👮‍♂️

The interesting thing is that people know this obviously, and that only the mob has been hurt in Hamilton, maybe that is the reason why? Such an interesting thing to observe, nevertheless.

Re: BREAKING: PROJECT SINDACATO (York Regional Police) - 03/02/21 10:57 PM

My bet is that they have evidence gained in the indirectly related PROJECT HOBART... That investigation tied Barletta's operation to the Figliomeni operation.

I believe a couple of the money washers charged in Hobart were also charged in Sindacato.

As such... I anticipate a slew of new charges by the time stay expires OR as part of an expansion of Project Hobart... Providing cops didn't fuck up the Hobart investigation as well.

Time will tell.. It's always fun to speculate.

My sources say Figliomeni's clan ran the gaming dens... Barletta ran the sports books and somewhere in between there is a partnership.

We'll see

Re: BREAKING: PROJECT SINDACATO (York Regional Police) - 03/03/21 04:54 AM

My cousin knows the Dhalia kid his name was Mike, he lived at home with his parents while selling drugs under their noses. Nice son! The other Dahlia from Visions has no relationship to the other one. Greg was connected to the mustano at least back then, last I heard he's in Florida now.

Re: BREAKING: PROJECT SINDACATO (York Regional Police) - 03/03/21 01:40 PM

Ya man, there is also another family. I think they are Figliomeni or something. One of the kids is dead from an overdose (Lucie), the other one Giordano, people have seen those guys in Hells Angels Support Clothing since 2007. This is or was their family business.

https://aranawards.com/

Same logic, if they are so cool with the HAs that advertise their political, government connections, more likely they are cops. I'm starting to wonder if this is all part of the same network, also, why would these guys be sub servant to the HAs, if they were serious gangsters?

Also, how if at all does this play into the mob murders in Hamilton, because no one seems to want to acknowledge the facts, which sort of implies guilt!! Just saying!!
Posted By: MikeM

Re: BREAKING: PROJECT SINDACATO (York Regional Police) - 03/04/21 03:23 AM

I haven't heard of a figlomeni family there only in Toronto. I'm sure there are slot of HA supporters in Hamilton though.
