Few things don’t add up:

Why would Ligambi pick a #2 who wasn’t fully respected on the streets? Staino was allegedly referred to as “the bartender”.

They make it sound as if Staino fell of the sky and wasn’t mobbed prior to his exclusive association with Ligambi starting in the early 2000’s. He must have got his button somewhen. You just don’t move in as a #2, with no prior mob cred, just because you are a good earner.

Staino didn’t just come out of nowhere.

He was a Business Agent for Local 54 Bartenders Union (Union Scarfo had control of in AC) and he was rolling with Joey and company in the 1990s prior to Ligambi hitting the streets in 1997. He is also Junior Staino’s Nephew.

Thanks Dante for the info.

Weird that Schratweiser and Anastasia kept implying he was “brought in” quite recently and didn’t mention his past. So the “bartender” monicker was due to his union affiliation and not a lack of respect.

Mousie was #2, staino's was capo but I'm not sure if he was acting...alot of guys was locked up at that time.

Ligambi started out as a bartender, how can you respect Joe and not Anthony?

And why they didn't say the names of his visitors?

Right on and the uncle was no bum ! He had a good mind for that life ...some guys just don’t cath a break and he was one.

Trust me uncle Joe was not a front runner from the get go nor after he was pumped up by Chuckie and flopped.

Beeps also was talked up and had a pool hall caddy corner from Angeloni’s on Arctic ave. three story with a store front nice back room it was set up and flopped with Nick behind him ....we are on a island here at that time no local was going with out of town guys we had our spot in Ducktown.
