Hamilton Crime Families - 04/27/19 10:43 PM

Does anyone know or have any information on the amount of Made Members and Associates of the three Hamilton Crime Families in Hamilton, Ontario? I did tons of digging and can find nothing on that topic. Thanks.

I think there are couple of good books on the subject.

I read two books one was the 6th family about the Rizzutos and the was about buffalo LCN, that Hamilton belongs to.

And there is sooo much going on, so many members and they are so tangled that I was sooo confused, they are intertwined the separate families

I know that when I looked it up I found there is at least 2 books about the subject, I was surprised because they get ZERO attention if the Rizzoto war never happened for the most part everyone would have been under the impression that Hamilton was defunct.

From what I understand there are about 20-30 made members altogether in Hamilton and 200-300 associates. This is based on previous estimates for the Musitano, Luppino and Papalia groups. You also got to remember that Hamilton is not a large city, it pales in comparison to nearby Toronto, so 20-30 made guys and 300 associates in a city with 700k people is quite a lot.

The numbers are probably closer to the 20 made member and 200 associate mark though.

They are rough estimates, Giacomo Vacari can back me up with similar numbers. Do you think it is less or more?

Hamilton 12 to 14 members, I dont think Pat Musitano is going to make it. Associates between all three groups 60 to 70, this is for Hamilton alone, they have associates in other places. This does not include outsides they work with.

Yeah, the size of one crew but with many associates around the world.

Moscone65, Buffalo has 15 made members in Canada, not all active and not all in Hamilton.

Stephen Schneider's Iced: The Story of Organized Crime in Canada details quite a lot about the Hamilton families/crews. In the book he states Papalia's crew had about a dozen made members so that gives an indication of the total made members in Hamilton. I think his crew was possibly the largest followed by the Luppinos and Musitanos. 20-30 members total could be a decent estimate although that would mean that half of the Buffalo family's membership would've been in Canada, so closer to 20 members total would be more realistic.

Schneider does a good job. Frank Papalia, Dante Gasbarrini Sr, Anthony Pugliese Sr, Tony Musitano, I am forgetting one other person have all passed away, and Angelo Musitano was killed. That is why I said 12 to 14 members.
