I figured he would go to trial no matter what after this long. 24-30 months isn’t bad though so I don’t blame him.

No surprise. The name of the game is to just admit what you did, give them their money and get back on the street and get back to earning and taking care of your family. As long as a year from now a bunch of guys don’t get indicted because he told I’m perfectly OK with him letting the Feds have this one.
