Canada is insane. In this day and age mobsters getting poison in jail. Like some old school Vito Genovese hit. Said it before but they’re underworld is so violent for such a nice place. I bet LE are going mad trying to bring cases ASAP.
Rizzuto story should be made into a big budget film. Especially the ultimate revenge slayings then cancer. Loads of other stories that deserve making but his is so recent also.. Saw a series on Netflix with the sons of anarchy guy playing a character based on Reynald desjardins was ok. Not big budget
His timeline from 1970s to death is so unbelievable,powerful and dramatic that it’s probably too much of a story to put into a movie!

On June 16, 1982, Alfio Ferlito was killed in an ambush when he was escorted by the Carabinieri during a transfer between two prisons. Also three agents and the driver were killed. The hit was ordered by his enemy Nitto Santapaola.

His timeline from 1970s to death is so unbelievable,powerful and dramatic that it’s probably too much of a story to put into a movie!
The Rizzuto story would need to be a three season series to cover it all.
On June 16, 1982, Alfio Ferlito was killed in an ambush when he was escorted by the Carabinieri during a transfer between two prisons. Also three agents and the driver were killed. The hit was ordered by his enemy Nitto Santapaola.

On May 11, 1989, Vincenzo Puccio was beaten to death in his cell at the Ucciardone Prison in Palermo, by fellow inmates Antonino and Giuseppe Marchese, two other Mafiosi who had been acting on Riina's orders. Puccio had been planning on overthrowing Riina and Bernardo Provenzano.

Maybe not initiated into Cosa Nosta, but I have to mention Sindona.
Michele Sindona (May 8, 1920 – March 22, 1986) was an Italian banker and convicted felon. Known in banking circles as "The Shark", Sindona was a member of Propaganda Due (#0501),[1] a secret lodge of Italian Freemasonry, and had clear connections to the Sicilian Mafia. He was fatally poisoned in prison while serving a life sentence for the murder of lawyer Giorgio Ambrosoli.

Anyway Billy Bright was killed because Pitera thinked that was a rat like Gangi? Right?
No. My understanding was it was a revenge killing. Tommy karate killed someone’s son and this was payback because Billy was like a son to him. Or at the very least Billy was like family to him. Billy was no rat he was one of only three from that bust to not rat.
