George de Meo

I stumbled upon some information regarding this fellow ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_de_Meo ) the other week and I must say it's kinda fascinating ...



To make this tidbit of information relevant I do believe I've read ( can't remember where at the moment ) that this fellow had connections to organized crime in NYC , however the source didn't mention the specific organization ( s ) . I'll try to dig it up once I find it again .

I just dug up an article ( https://www.irishtimes.com/news/republican-who-preferred-the-gun-to-politics-1.1163351 ) that mentions de Meo being on the fringe of the Mafia , however no specific LCN families are mentioned at all .


Does anyone know which of the Five ( or other ) families he may have been connected to ?
