He did that long stretch for ecstasy-no?? He may have been a protected block for rats but did he probably didn't do that time in solitary....not that he didn't deserve it.

I asked the same question a year ago and was told that nobody much cares about him anymore. He obviously isn't laying low, although he looks like sh*t compared to his younger years. Many of the mob guys he screwed with are dead now, which is just as well for Sammy... but it might be a different story if he goes back to New York.

The only question is why the gambinos didn't kill him now that he is on the street.

I doubt it’s an issue nowadays. Like others have said most of the guys are dead now. It’s not like a willie boy situation where so many guys were still around. Also killing Sammy is too high profile and not worth the risk

A high profile hit on gravano would have been their wet dream. Guys would have made careers off of something like that. This is America, there are limits.
