Rudaj Organization Timeline - 10/17/18 02:44 PM

1993 - Organization founded by Nardino Colotti and Alex Rudaj and included Albanians, Italians, and Greeks. Colotti owned Italian cafes in Bronx where he had gambling machines. Colotti was a Gambino associate beforehand under soldier Philike "Skinny Phil" Loscalzo. One of his cafes was in Bonanno territory. Basciano and someone from Genovese family met with Colotti and the three families agreed to split winnings. Bronx gambling territory - Gambinos had Morris Park area, Genovese and Bonannos had South Bronx including Throgs Neck.

December 1993 - Attempted murder of Bonanno associate Gaetano Peduto (shot at his car during chase) over dispute about Peduto's stolen car operation in the Bronx that stole $20 million worth of high end cars. Organization wanted money from operation because it was stealing cars in Colotti territory. Basciano sent two guys with machine guns to confront Colotti. Peduto later worked out a deal with Colotti and stole cars for him too.

1999 - Tried to take over a Mount Vernon bar, Puerto Roja, owned by Salvatore Misale. Misale went to FBI after he was assaulted.

??? - Stripped an old Gambino member (or two?) at meeting and threw them in the street, keeping wallet.

June 2001 - Severely beat 5 members of Astoria gambling community when they stormed Stamatis club run by Fotios Dimopoulos and Antonios Balampanis (an Albanian from Greece), who had overseen gambling in Astoria for Luccheses. Balampanis beaten and pistol whipped. Originally agreed to pay Luccheses $1,500 a week for lost revenue but this stopped after several months.

August 2001 - stormed another Astoria gambling club (Soccer Fever - Barbout game made $8,000 first night) opened by Gambinos (Tommy Napoli) and shut it down the second night by overturning tables and beating one of the Greek owners of the game, Mikhail Hirakis. Afterward, the organization opened or began collecting tribute payments from these Astoria gambling clubs:

Athenia on Newtown Avenue
The Saloni Social Club on 30th Avenue
Sanidisi on 31st Street
Skutarija on 23rd Avenue
An unidentified club on 30th Avenue
Zeus on 23rd Avenue

August/September 2001 - According to FBI agent Joaquin "Jack Falcone" Garcia, things had deteriorated to the point that the two groups met at a gas station near the New Jersey Turnpike. The Gambinos, led by acting boss Arnold Squitieri, had 20 guys, all armed. The Albanians had half a dozen, but were also armed. Squitieri told them, "You took what you took and you ain't takin' no more or there's going to be a problem, you understand." The leader of the Albanains told one of his guys to shoot the gas tanks if the Gambinos started shooting and they would "all go." "The confrontation could have gone either way, but the Gambinos had twenty guys there and the Albanians had only half a dozen. The Albanains had worked with the Gambinos long enough to have respect for La Cosa Nostra, and at the gas station, the Albanians blinked first. Somehow, Greg (DePalma) gold me, the Albanians listened to reason...or at least to Squitieri's threats. They were outnumbered at the gas station, and they must have finally realized the Gambino family was too powerful to be fucked with. Greg told me the Albanians were spanked, and they never evolved into that sixth organized crime family in New York."

2002 - Organization running a bookmaking operation in Port Chester that took in $250,000 on bets a week. Also ran card games that could take in as much as $15,000 a night.

2003 - "Took over" a John Gotti's table at Rao’s.

October 2004 - 22 organization members indicted. At trial, to have collected at least $4 million a year from 50 gambling machines in Bronx, Westchester, and Queens. (Based on prosecutors estimate that 100 machines bringing in $750 a week could bring in $4 million a year). $9.2 million sought from 22 defendants in case, as well as 4 properties.

July 2014 - Retired FBI agent said "The Lucheses were getting ready to whack all of them. The Lucheses were just tired of them. They'd gotten too big for their britches." Organization members arrested before this could take place.

March 2015 - Fight at Danbury reported where Colombo soldier Vito Guzzo, Gambino soldiers Michael Yannotti and Michael Roccaforte, and Bonanno soldier Edward Lino beat up Prenka Ivazaj and Colotti after several Albanian inmates beat up older Italian inmate in his cell. Dispute originally over allegiance of an inmate who had ties to both groups.

in the old days things like that would never happened
they have big luck to not mess with the westside (the only real and strong family back in the 90s)
the chin would have crush them in a second

Didn’t the Westies cause all sorts of trouble for the mob. They even whacked a major lonshark/Gambino associate Ruby Stein. That’s far more dangerous than stripping a few Gambino guys

They were so feared even Big Paul had to sit down with them (at Tomaso) next to the veterans and friends and make a peace offering,’ no more unsanctioned killings, from now on youse guys are with us! ‘

Re: Rudaj Organization Timeline - 10/19/18 12:52 AM

The westies were a crazy bunch, no doubt, but especially back in that time, the families could have destroyed them if they really had to, but it was easier and better to find a peaceful agreement.

When the Jacobi center must be built in the 1970s the building was in the westies territory but the Genoveses wanted the money and the westies declared war but lost it after spillane and his men was whacked. The only reason why the gambinos but especially castellano want to made a deal with westies was that was better to use them as killers and take a part of the money that the irish would make using the gambino name.

About 2/4 of this supposed "Albanian" gang seems to be Italian and it looks like almost another 1/4 Is Greek.

No,not even close. Stidda is well established in Sicily, nowadays they are working with Cosa Nostra, while Rudaj organization was little more than a crew of albanians who got wiped out after few years.

Going from this list alone there are more Greeks than Albanians in this gang. Also most of their extortion happened in Greek neighborhoods,I really dont believe a bunch of Albanians would go into a foreign neighborhood and start shaking them down.Latin kings dont go into italian or black areas,Italians dont go to washington heights, people usually stick to their own areas.Especially in gambling dens the customers who were all greek wouldnt go to the gambling house if it got taken over by foreign gangsters people usually give buisness and feel safer with their own kind.My guess this gang was Italian/Greek/Albanian when it was time to muscle in an Italian neibourhhood the italian guys would be the bosses and take point,In the greek neighbourhoods it was the greeks and in the Albanian it was the albanian guys who took charge

The Stidda born when mobsters that was shelved decided to start its our organization in the aerea of Gela where was no mafia presence.
Anyway the Stidda is less organizated respect the sicilian mafia but its members called Stiddari went out of Sicily and and have spread throughout Europe and perhaps even beyond.
Im agree with Strax, the Rudaj organization was only a mixed race crew;if was another thing should not be so easly disbanded.

Thanks the Stidda appears different the other four that are common knowledge, being Camorra, Ndrangheta, Cosa Nostra and Sacra Corona, that they don’t inter-compete

I believe that Cosa Nostra and Stidda have fought. I believe Provenzano while a fugitive had disputes that resulted in people dying with the Stidda

Cosa Nostra killed a lot of them , even Matteo Messina Denaro killed some of them personally.

About Stidda in Marsala.

All started with the murders of Francesco Caprarotta and Vincenzo D'Amico, boss and underboss of Marsala crime family, disappeared in 1992 killed by the 'Corleonesi' after a meeting attended by Toto Riina, Mariano Agate, Matteo Messina Denaro and Antonio Patti.
After these murders Carlo Zichittella, member of Cosa Nostra crime family based in Marsala, founded a Stidda family in the town supported by Giuseppe Grassonelli and Orazio Paolello, bosses of the Stidda in Porto Empedocle and Gela, in order to fight the 'Corleonesi'.
On March 14 1992 the Stidda killed Antonino Titone and attempted to kill Gaspare Raia and Antonio Patti; On April 7 the Stidda killed Angelo Lo Presti.
After the murder of Titone, Toto Riina sent the killers Matteo Messina Denaro, Giovanni Brusca, Leoluca Bagarella and others in Marsala and in a few months they destroyed the Stidda in Marsala.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stidda

The Stidda came into public view when Cosa Nostra pentito Francesco Marino Mannoiaspoke about it in 1989. Later another Mafia member Leonardo Messina told his own view. According to their testimonies, Stidda is an organisation that was founded by former members of the Cosa Nostra during the Second Mafia War of the early 1980s. They had been expelled due to disobedience or, in a couple of cases, even marrying a relative of a police officer. Many of the original stiddari were followers of the murdered Mafia-boss Giuseppe Di Cristina.

The Stidda was particularly strong in southern Sicily around the towns of Agrigento, Caltanissetta, Gela, Vittoria, Niscemi and others smaller.
The original leaders of the Stidda were Giuseppe Croce Benvenuto and Salvatore Calafato. A dynamite bomb later killed Stidda boss Calogero Lauria. They were involved a more direct war with the Mafia in the early 1990s. The vicious war led to over 300 deaths. One of these was the judge Rosario Livatino.

Thank you, it’s interesting because you never hear of the sacred secret criminal societies (Camorra, Ndrangheta, Cosa Nostra) don’t know if Sacred Crown is considered the same, but they never fight each other.
They fight inside themselves, but Cosa Nostra and Stidda fight each other

Apart the Mafia the other secret societies was always divided in small groups that fight each other. Also the Sacre Crow is divided in various groups and at least the Stidda is a Mafia made by the made men that was shelved or lost the second mafia war.

It is believed that Camorra,Ndrangheta,Cosa Nostra & SCU are one single organized crime group ruled by single commission formed by most important bosses, politicians and freemasonry members

Re: Rudaj Organization Timeline - 11/27/19 06:23 PM

This year during stato-mafia 'Ndrangehta trial , there are witnesses from witness protection program who claimed same thing , witnesses are from Cosa Nostra & 'Ndrangheta , 4 of them disappeared from witness protection so far, they are probably dead , considering the stuff they are talking about.

Re: Rudaj Organization Timeline - 11/27/19 06:27 PM

I thought the same because of the sacred/spiritual component to criminality as well, didn’t know about SCU for sure, does that mean they work together internationally. If so is NYC and Canada part of this

I guess the masonry is different in Italy and that might prevent that in North America

Nope. The bosses have relations with politicians and Freemasons but there are no boss of the bosses that rules on all the mafias.

Ofc there is not , the real and only boss of bosses was Toto Riina. There is a 'super-comission', that is at least what witnesses claimed on trials and what police believes.
