Joe Massino siad in his testimony that 2 members of the Bonanno Family died in the electric chair in the late 1950's. I believe he said they were in the crew he was inducted into.

What did Tommy Eboli do to 'die like a man'? Wasn't he killed on the sidewalk coming out of his girlfriends place? Guys jumped out of a van and lit him up?

No mobsters died like a man! They was killed but if they would know that in this day their fellas should whack them they would escape.
Falcone,Borsellino,Peppino Impastato died like men because refused to stop their activities against the mafia even if know that they was marked to death.

agreed. Mad dog sullivan is a lot like kuklinski in that he tells bullshit. Supposedly Bobby Manna told Scarfo that Tony pleaded when he realized Funzi played him.

We Probably will never know. To answer your second question i think the possibility of power blinded him just like Tony and just like Chickie Narducci the following year

Re: Died like Men - 08/12/18 09:50 PM

Abso-motherfuckin'-lutley!! Chickie N. was 1 dumb ass 2 think he could get away w/ Testa's murder & get no retribution..Scarfo was keen 2 that shit...

Re: Died like Men - 08/12/18 09:54 PM

Well i do think Chickie was smart. I mean he was a capo a multi millionare so he was smart. His problem was that he got seduced by the prospect of being boss. Phil Leonetti said that even though Chickie made a ton of money he simply wanted power

Yes..u r correct in that thought..he was 1 of Ange's (Bruno) top moneymakers along w/ Frank Sindone & Chickie Ciangaglini...Frank Narducci was a multi/ millionaire...he just got 2 big 4 his britches..I read though somewhere he was so cheap that he did not want 2 pay 4 Frankies(windows)? wedding 2 a south Philly chick back in 1981....that's messed up...by the way............since I'm talkin' Philly, is Dom Grande related 2 the same Grande who shot Salvie Testa??(Wayne Grande or brother?)....Hmmmm...I should know this shit but I don't...

Chickie didnt learn from the Tony Bananas situation. He also didnt realize that NY decides who will be boss. Its funny you mention Salvie because when he killed Chickie he let Chickie see his face beforehand...he wanted him to know who and why he was dying

RE : Dom Grande. Yes he is related. He is the son of Salvatore "Wayne" Grande.

When it's said Tony Bananas "pleaded" I think that word is misused or misunderstood. He may have made his case, but without being a coward. Pleading sounds like he begged on his knees, which he did not do.

Come on Furio, we all know this and agree with this.. But it has nothing to do with the fact that bad guys can also go out like men. That doesn't mean that I admired their lives or think they are great guys. But I have to agree that some wiseguys, die like men, in that they take responsibilities for their actions and don't point the finger to anyone else..

A very good example of a man, who was a terrible human being and deserved to die, but who DID go out like a MAN, is Saddam Hussein. He comported himself with great dignity, moments before he got hanged and faced his fate like a Boss. The people around him were yelling profanities, and were making him almost look like the good guy, which was a shame. But at the same time I surely can understand the emotions of certain people who've had family members killed by Saddam's regime..

According to Leonetti he gave himself away when he asked the chickenman for a loan of 50 grand a couple of days before the hit.

Testa knew something was up and relayed his suspicions to Scarfo the evening before his death.

Actually, they were going to the meeting under the guise that Michael was going to get made, didn't quite work out....

Re: Died like Men - 09/10/18 06:09 AM

Louie Tuzzio many of you never heard of him.

He was with the Bonnnano's he botched the GUS FARACHI hit, by shooting Michael Scalfani, who's father was in Gotti's inner circle.

Gotti ordered all that were involved in the hit to be whacked.

Anyhow Louie, was close to Tommie Karate, and he had a few notches on his belt he was a bonifide shooter.

He was told he was going to get his button and was called in.

He had a feeling he was going to get whacked he gave his mother his jewellery before he went.

His brother Nicky, and Mario Gallo followed him that night to help him in case he got in trouble.

He noticed them in his rear view and told them they had to go or they would all.be killed.

He went on his own and they whacked him.

Robert Lino was one of the shooters.

In actuality Gotti ordered all four shooters to be killed.

One of them was James Froggy Gaolione, who was with the Lucheese's, the luc's ended up taking Mario Gallo into their crew and somehow Nicky, got a pass.

That has to suck going into that meeting not knowing..... Am I getting my life dream or am I getting clipped???
