Read about former gambino soldier nicky skins steffinelli and his whole story rlly interests me. If anyone doesn’t know he was a rat and eventually killed himself after whacking someone in 2012. Anyone know the gambinos reaction to the news? Heard nicky was a trusted guy who had been known to have no problem doin a piece of work. Also, anyone know any murders he prolly did for the gambinos? On Feb. 24, 2012, Stefanelli walked into Phoenix Amusement, a video poker and game machine distributorship on Floyd Avenue in Bloomfield owned by Joseph Rossi. Skins pumped two bullets into Rossi’s head, killing him.

Ik bout that murder. Ya know any other work he did for the leaders?

No after killed Rossi,he went to a hotel and used drug for suicide.

Stefanelli, who paid for his own funeral, then checked into the Renaissance Meadowlands Hotel. Two days later, he was found dead of a drug overdose.

Skins was around forever. He was with the luccheses for a while then got pinched for drugs and did a fed bid, he hooked up with i think nicky corozzo in prision and that was his entry into the gambino crew. He cooperated to save his son from a drug pinch.

Carmen Di Nunzio and the case on Merlino started by the Stefanelli tapes on the lagriglia meeting.

Actually it was his brother Anthony D. who got sent away due, in large part, to the Skins tape. They overheard him saying that he would kill a guy, bury him, then dig him up again to make sure he was dead. Which, when you think about it, would be a profoundly dumb thing to do.

New England mob boss Anthony DiNunzio, 54, pleaded guilty to a racketeering charge in 2012 that was based in part on tapes made by Stefanelli. DiNunzio’s indictment includes a reference to a meeting the Rhode Island wiseguy attended on Dec. 7, 2011, in Clifton with a “senior Gambino crime family member.”
That, according to several sources, was Stefanelli. The tape, according to the indictment, includes a conversation in which DiNunzio identifies himself as a leader of the New England mob and discusses extortion gambits in which he and others were involved.

Ligambi, Licata, Fazzini and Anthony Staino were the Philadelphia representatives at the LaGriglia meeting. The Gambinos were represented by the brothers Joe and John Gambino, Stefanelli, Trucchio, Lorenzo Mannino and Michael Roccaforte.

So maybe he was made in 1976 or 1977.

Skins was made in the very late 90’s or early 2000’s.
No one ever had an issue because they brought skins around. Skins was already around since he was a kid.

Yes,yo're right Belmont he was made in 2007 with Charles “Buddy Musk” Muccigrosso.It's strange that a man that was born in 1943 and was so know in the mob circles in NY and NJ was made so late.

It happens all the time. My guess would be that nicky corozzo inducted him.
