Mob threatened doctor to write scripts for 230K Ox

A Brooklyn doctor was strong-armed by a couple of wiseguys into writing prescriptions for more than 230,000 Oxycodone pills that were then trafficked by members of the Lucchese crime family, according to the Brooklyn US Attorney’s office.

Anthony Grado, 54, a solider for the family, was recorded telling the hapless doctor that he would feed him “to the [expletive] lions” if he wrote prescriptions without the mob’s permission, US Attorney Richard Donoghue’s office said Thursday.

Grado, Lawrence Tranese, 55, a mob associate, and others used both such threats and actual violence to have the doctor write the bogus scripts — and at one point the doctor was stabbed by a Lucchese associate on Grado’s orders, according to officials.

Grado and Tranese — who both pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiracy to distribute Oxycodone in Brooklyn federal court — along with other gangsters filled the prescriptions themselves and hawked the pills, the US Attorney’s office said.

Grado was also recorded saying that if the doctor’s newly ordered prescription pads “go in anybody’s hands” besides his, “I’ll put a bullet right in your head.”

“Lucchese family member Grado imperiled our community, threatening a doctor to force him to write prescriptions for oxycodone and then trafficking in the addictive drugs,” stated Donoghue.

“Violent threats to a doctor by Mafia defendants, combined with their trafficking of oxycodone pills, posed an especially serious danger to our community.”

“Organized crime groups and other criminal entities are seizing on the outbreak of addiction plaguing our country to make money,” stated FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge Sweeney. “It shouldn’t be a shock that members of the Lucchese crime family used violence to force a member of the medical community to further their criminal enterprise.”

The defendants face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million when sentenced.

Mouths to feed and nobody’s dumb and have read enough to get X dollars per pills.

There was the case about 4-7 years ago where an employee at a Staten Island Hospital was ordering hundreds
Of thousand pills every few months under the guise that they were for his hospital depts. research .

Insane scam that could of made millionaires as the ( alleged) wise guy only had to pay the employee
Rather than dealing with doctors , the person with the script etc .

You have people getting the scripts that you are paying
The doctors office staff
You have ton of C.I. that got caught and telling LE what they know and heard

The above is a lot of people that could turn you in.
Now almost 100% you will get caught

And now if someone dies they will try to charge you with murder

a real oxycodone 30 the blue one goes for 30 bucks a 10 milligram one for 10 bucks. just say the doctor wrote 1 scrpit for 100 10 milligrams percocet for someone with slippeed disks or whatever it everymonth. theres people willing to 800 bucks for the 100 they might turn around and sell it for 1000 to clear 200 bucks. on and on.

If it is the 30 milligram pills, they will sell anywhere from $20 to $40 dollars a pop depending on where they are sold at and to who. Even with the 10 milligrams ones, they only go for $10 a pop, but I get the feeling this is the blue pill.

Make a buck wherever they can, but greed always gets to them.

The greed or the disorganization,if you had dozen of doctors that make false prescriptions instead of one they would made less but maybe would avoid to be caught.

Figure the price of about $1 a milligram and Id bet each pill is minimum 30mg, thats about 7 mil. Now think about them crushing them up and adding some fentanyl to make that into 5x the number of pills after "rerocking" them

Tell us how the Dr. got in debt to them. They didn't just pick him out of the phone book. Degenerate gambler? Borrowed money he couldn't pay back? I need the full story.

nop your getting the real pills from the doc you dont fuck with them they sell themselves and you can get every dollar for every milligram. once someone knows you have the fake pills with dope or fentalyn in them theyll pass. and them things can be hit or miss 1 pill might have a lethal dose of shit in it another 4 nothing. then the bums doing this at there pill press in the basement never have the exact colors unless there white and they crumble. a real perc will never crumble unless ya fat and sit on them on a hard chair or a hammer ect. when the doctors around my city were first wriiting scripts for the cia (tinfoil hat)around 2004 and unlessing billion of these pills my neighbor would get 120 10ml percs a month hed sell them all for a quick 500 bucks a few years later 800 hundred till all the docs around 2012 stoped writting scripts cause the dea threaten to take there licenses then all the cliemts went to the streets and started doing dope but there not real dope around its fucking fetanyl people dropping like flies.

Tranese has not been identified as a member, but Grado is definitely a player. He's always been linked to Thomas "Tommy Red" Anzellotto for years who's another Brooklyn based member. Anzellotto is under Joe DiBenedetto, a Brooklyn capo and son-in-law to Vic Amuso.

Grado has been a major player in the Brooklyn wing of the Lucchese family for 25 years, odds are there is more to the this story. The FBI clearly is zeroing in on Lucchese's right now.

This is my first come across of Anthony Grado tho I like the guy already sounds very well put together and I'm curious if he doesn't have many pinches under his belt could he possibly have a shot at a administration spot at somepoint way down the road with that link to Amuso by being with DiBenedetto for years....
