The guy who runs the place seems like a wannabe. I think he was purposely involving himself with mob rackets where he didn't have to, to help "authenticate" his business. Either this, or he's incredibly stupid. I mean, he's indicted in 2013, and knows he can't run the club, yet he's still running it front and center, not even trying to have a front man run it for him. I think this guy's trying to get a tv show.

Does anyone know more about this Tony Lodi Cardinale? Says he was a Genovese associate, what crew was he associated with, Devita?

I am obsessed with the Sopranos as I am sure many posters here are, wonder if the club being actually mobbed up, if anyone recognizes any real wiseguys in the backgrounds and shit in the scenes at the Bing?

also, this guy is allegedly cooperating, but has any information or any indictments resulted from his ratting? Doesnt seem like much, at least publicly, but id love to know more about what Genovese made guys and or crews this Tony Lodi was connected to? Im sure knowledgeable North Jersey posters like Bobby Pazzo and Dante can shed some light or at least guess as to what crews control Lodi

Understand something about north jersey... There's some type of presence in every single city. That's no exaggeration. Whether it's one guy with a gambling package or three made guys living in the same neighborhood.

The bergen county crew was lodi, garfield, east rutherford area even though Gatto was from paterson. 21st ave had a lot of gambling and a lot of italian cafe’s as did cianci ave and to a certain extent union ave in totowa.
The bergen county crew was pete laplaca’s old crew and he was a Lodi guy. Lodi was as corrupt as the fuckin day is long back in the day and was an italian stronghold for years. That whole area was wiseguy influenced back in the day and to a much smaller extent today. They were all blue collar towns with a lot of bars and gambling and shylocking was huge.
Lou ricci was the gambino muscle in that area back in the day.

Damn no kidding Bobby, I would never have guessed that every town in N Jersey had an LCN presence. I mean I know theres tons of Italians there, its super densely populated and all, but I dont doubt your assertion for a second. Are there some towns that arent usually mentioned on here that you know of that low key have a bunch of Made guys operating out of? Even bein from outside Philly, I dont know North Jersey area at all..

Belmont - appreciate the info buddy, hope you had a happy holiday. So who is running Pete LacPlaca's crew these days? I assume that before Carinale flipped he was associated with this crew?

AP and PL without getting too specific. I hate doing the initial thing despite it being public knowledge.
Make no mistake, the Gatto crew was Lodi, NOT paterson.
That whole area along rt 17 had a lot of bars, restaurants and wiseguys had a piece of most of them. From east rutherford to paramus.
When satin dolls opened sometime in the late 80’s ( i think): a few Giant players were investors and they gave envelopes to some west side guys.
There was a real mobbed up sports bar called “ the bench” where a lot of giants went to and that was a total mobbed up joint..lol
Lawrence Taylor was an investor,

Belmont

What was that big club in Lodi that was hot into early 2000s

Wise guys ran/ owned it and had that dance floor over the in ground pool

People would stomp on it to try and sink it , lol . Can't remember the name for the life of me but it was big for a long time . Did rock nights one night, club night and a big Sunday night scene I think

Yeah Lodi had a lot of character back in day and had a very active night life . All the garbage was controlled there like in Nutley and Belleville

Re: Real-life Sopranos Club Busted for Mafia Ties - 12/31/17 07:18 PM

Yeah Carlstadt is probably still an active area speaking of rt 17. A lot of Italian restaurants that even 7-8 years ago a few guys had total control of from a gambling , loan shark , garbage standpoint . I used to go out with a girl whose family member had that type of set up at that Il Vill place , guy had all the rights to what went on in there

In the 80’s and early to mid 90’s it was called Chicago’s. The owner was a guy named Eugene, he also owned temptations in seaside up until the very late 90’s.
Joey Barcelona never had a piece of either club until much later. His father started Joeys and joey harrisons. The original Joeys in Clifton was on vanhaughten ave up until 1992-93 when it moved to Alwood rd ( now Bliss i think).
Back in the day, Joeys was the place to go sunday night. Why? All the hot looking beauticians had off on Mondays..also wednesday night.
Chicagos was where you went tuesday night and saturday.
Ashleys in clifton was behind the old romance emporium and everyone went there on thursday.
You also had Trumps in wayne nj where Lace now is,, no relation to donald trump.
You also had “Dancin” in pallisades park.
The same people went to all these clubs., total guido clubs...

What about Ridge Rd. in Lyndhurst and North Arlington? Lots of bars that were very popular in the 80's (Fatso's etc...) Any OC presence that anyone knows of currently or back in the day?
