When a boss gets life in prison, does he receive?

When a boss gets life in prison, does he receive? - 09/20/17 07:46 AM

Obviously when a boss gets sent to prison, he knows the rough monetary amount of tribute he should be receiving BUT, do they and are they able to hang on to that?

I know that times play a huge factor. It isn't the 70-80's no more.
I don't doubt that capos could plead there case that(lie) that it is very rough to earn in the current times.

I is also possible that the boss in there for life relents to the fact that he isn't on the street and shouldn't expect the same tribute knowing that others are doing the heavy lifting. Doubt this theory though. Quest for ultimate power is what led them to prison.

Persico may be a unique one in this, do to the fact his entire family is spread out within the family. Lying would be much harder.

Thoughts?

If you notice, some of the bosses doing hard time have their family handling their affairs on the outside. The only one's they trust the most. So yes, they can exert control, but sometimes they can only hang onto power through their real family.

Interesting post. I have always wondered the same thing. Carmine Persico is "the Boss." Last time he was on the streets no one had cell phones. How much does the street boss or acting Boss get and how much does Carmine get?

Same for Vic Amuso. How is the money split between boss and Marty Madonna the acting Boss. I bet Vic gets a small amount.

One or two loyal capos is enough sometimes. Rusty from the Bonannos was in the can during 90% of his reign and used to control the family through Sonny Black and Joey Massino. I'm sure they did skim some, especially Fat Joey, but he probably did get the lion's share, and he did have the power after Galante died and there was no more threat of subversion (after the 3 capos hit)

Don't think there is a way to know how much Carmine gets but he gets plenty of visits from lots of family and whom ever they can get on the list.

He is in Butner medium security actually like a hospital the part he has been in for years .

Family gets together around April (I am sure other date also)and get a few spots outside of Myrtle Beach I know they used to bring Allies boat or someone else's and make a big deal out of the visit with large golf trips . Many of them go down to the newest grandchildren .

Don't know about what made guys can get in , most are known and have records.

Don't most prisons have a limit on how much money an inmate can receive from the outside ? It also goes without saying that it would be rather foolish for any prisoner ( LCN boss or not ) to have a lot of cash on hand , unless said prisoner were to have a lot of backup of course , which a LCN boss should theoretically have .

Then again the authorities oftentimes isolate such high profile prisoners from their underlings , so I suppose it depends on whether or not a boss has a decent amount of underlings in prison to protect him , with respect to the issue of receiving a significant amount of tribute .

I also imagine that many bosses have one of their trusted men hold on to their tribute while their incarcerated , which is obviously a tricky arrangement , but I digress .

And in some cases, the incarcerated may "owe" financial damages so any large commissary account could I think potentially be docked if there's a considerable sum on the books. I could be wrong though.
