Greg Scarpa jr story ? - 06/23/17 02:10 PM

What I know is that he was born in 1950 that had a brother Joseph killed during the orena war and was until get caught in 1995 or 1999 a colombo capo despite his father was a rat. In prison beated vic Amuso because vic said that his father was a rat; if Greg jr was free he would be killed for having punched a boss but will be in prison until 2027 despite he tipped the fbi on the Nichols aka KC unabomber secret tnt hideout.

I have some question:

When he was made ?
He get 40 y for weed traffick or other racketeering crimes ?
Why didnt whacked him after the feds said that his father was an informant for years?
Why the Luccheses didn't try to kill him ?
If he has a son,are he involved in the mob ?

Thanks a lot.

Never heard the Vic story.
Someone punched John Gotti and is probably living in freedom today.

^^Someone typed up the whole Mafia Son book about Greg Scarpa Jr. It's been a while since I read it but maybe the answers to your questions are in there.

Looks like he was made around 1976 or 1977.

Thanks for the link. It's been a interesting read so far.

One thing that jumped out at me right away was the claim that Greg Scarpa Sr. never became a Capo but was always a soldier with a crew of his own of 50 guys.

I've never heard of him never being a Capo. That can't be true could it?

In Deal with the Devil, it explains that he was a capo but wanted to take heat off myself by only identifying as a solider, he was a Persico loyalist or so he pretended to be and hes been around forever one of the most feared and from what I understand an earner. I believe he definitely most likely was a capo and Larry Mazza said he was a capo I belive in his book.

Like the guy told Edward Norton Jr. in American History X:

"You the n*gga in here, aight?!"

Unless you was in a mafia heavy prison like Allentown, it rings true.

Wow that book is a great read about Scarpa and Jr. Sure seems like Scarfa Jr is getting the shaft being kept in Florence. He helped the Feds a lot, yes he killed but the Feds were complicit and it was a quid pro quo situation.

A little mistake: greg scarpa jr brother Joseph Schiro Scarpa was killed in 1995 in a drug deal went wrong or maybe was killed as revenge because his father was a rat.
