Palermo are an absolute basket case of a football club, even by Italian standards.

Vincenzo Iaquinta is another footballer who had links to the mafia.

FC Crotone is owned by the 'Ndrangheta. They survived relegation from the Serie A, because they beat Lazio Roma.
