I wonder if it is the same guy mentioned in above past articles and could it be related to the Vaughan shooting ? Both may have something to do with pot.

Ciment, you are on to something. I suspect the homicide units of York Regional Police and Toronto Police Service will be sharing information. I find it a bit odd that Sergi moved in the last few years from Brampton (suburb outside Toronto) to Etobicoke (west end of Toronto), but it certainly isn't impossible.

If this murdered Sergi is the same person mentioned in the older articles, again, his having moved from Brampton to Etobicoke is a bit odd but certainly not an impossibility. Over the decades, Brampton has been home to some important or known made members of the Siderno Group ('ndrangheta), e.g., Cosimo Stalteri, Domenico Ruso, Vincenzo Raco. If this Sergi is Calabrian--the surname certainly is--he could be a Siderno Group associate.

When I read Sergi I think about the Sergi 'ndrina from Platì.

If he is from that family, then they may be under estimating the fact that he is a minor Italian OC figure. Also, in the eventuality that marijuana will be legal as Trudeau promised, is the Calabrian OC positioning themselves to become major suppliers for the legal sale of cannabis in Ontario and possibly other parts of Canada ?

I agree the Sergis have connections all over the place from Colombia to Australia.
