Bobby Vernace dead

According to the bureau of prisons , former gambino consigliere Bobby vernace died in prison last Thursday

Rest in pieces.

Some guys I feel sort of sorry for (like a bookmaking bust or something), him not all, killing two guys over a spilled drink, stupid gangsta sh#t. he deserved it.

these old timers are dropping like flies ,first teddy persico, now this bobby vernace, next in the bullpen to after life is either Carmine Persico or Vic Orena and or John de ross all colombos by the way........

The Genovese family have a bunch of old timers waiting to kick the bucket. Quiet Dom, Benny Eggs, Mario Gigante, Bobby Manna, Larry Dentico, etc.

What a shame. Bobby was a great guy. Bobby was the type of guy that could be talking to the president and then you, a nobody would walk by and he would crack you in the head with a hammer. He was also generous with his money by always being there for those in need by loaning money at 199% interest. He would also be there to help out his old neighborhood by flooding it with heroin.
He will be sorely missed.

wasnt it Vernace who "shelved" Alphonse Trucchio after they were all sentenced? wonder how that works now - how much weight a dead guy's word holds, especially one who had a very public set of charges / trial that could be considered disgraceful. i doubt the kid Trucchio has anything to worry about if he wants to get involved when he gets out

I think he had a beef with Jo Jo Corozzo which was the cause of his so called demotion.
