Carmen Gagliardi also took part in the murder of Pauline Pusser and the attempted hit on Buford of "Walking Tall" fame. State Line Mob leader Carl "Towhead" White ordered the hit from prison and the Dixie Mafia along with Carmen Gagliardi accepted the contract. That FBI fugitive poster had it half right. He loved gambling and casino, but he knew Las Vegas was the first place they would look so he went to Biloxi MS which was a gambling mecca for ages. Games of chance, casinos, back door poker games, billiards. It had it all and still does and was the HQ of the Dixie Mafia back then. The state line mob was HQ in Corinth MS in North MS where I was born. Alcorn County was on the state line between TN and MS and the main sin den was the Shamrock located on the Alcorn side. Pusser was a sheriff on the TN side. His home base was Adamsville/Selmer.
