Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Heroin Epidemic - 01/12/17 04:44 PM

Just read this sad story about "the area," northeastern PA:

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/wilk...y-place-n699541

It made me wonder--back in the day the Scarfo guys (and later Natale) were way into meth production and dealing, and the Scranton D'Elia and Buffalino family too. But you don't tend to see OC guys in the papers in Philly or Scranton get busted for heroin selling or smuggling. Weed, maybe, but not heroin. If this epidemic is occurring at the size and price it is, there's big money to be made. Still too taboo for a boss to allow? Or happening and no one from OC has been caught?

Giacomo,no taboo,in this times the mobster prefer to to give money to the pushers and take a share of the profits that risk long sentences.
At the Scarfo era the mob buy the pcp and the other substances to made the meth but others sell it on the street and give the piece to the mob.
