Johnson did 22months in the hole in an attempt to break him but he "stood tall".
Anyone agrees with Gotti that his father should have just "chased" him.
Complete different era back then, considering rats openly walk around now. But back then an example had to be made plus he was risky to keep alive due to "not going all the way on murders he knew about (I'm guessing one was Favara)
But whacking him was also bad for business- future rats would 110% cooperative IF they found themselves in same situation as Johnson ie gave Feds info/ but still wanted to remain "active" and not wanting to testify
They would realise IF the prosecutor forced them to testify- they might as well go all the way since "standing tall" ends up in the gutter
