The most deadly 21 century mobster - 06/18/16 02:25 PM

The mob was full of stone cold killers: demeo, pietra, scarpa ecc but after the 2000 maybe because the mob prefer to make money than bussiness there no mobster like them. Do you now what would be the mobster that after the 2000 killed more people ?
Thanks

As far as American lcn no one on the street (post 2000) really has a considerably higher death toll over someone else in my opinion. All the guys who had high counts have been either dead or in jail for a rather long time now. Although you do have guys out on the street who have gotten away with murder but since 2000 it's been few and far in between, 1-3 murders a year max. I think whichever clan in Canada that's been shooting up the Rizzuto's would be the frontrunner in that category.

Good point Terence but I think that Anthony Arillotta springfield capo and genovese rat could be a goo example:

http://aboutthemafia.com/tag/anthony-arillotta

He was charged with the murders of former Massachusetts mob boss Adolfo Bruno and mob associate Gary Westerman back in 2003. After cozying up to New York mob leaders and the 2003 murder of his one time mentor Arillotta formerly became a made member of the Genovese family and took over the mob families Springfield operations.

none of the guys today violence wise can be compared to any of the guys in the past

If we are talking about the most deadly guys today nicdemeo has been linked to four murders. Vinny Basanico was also very deadly he had three guys killed but even the most dangerous guys of today they are nothing like any of those guys.

The most feared guys on the streets would probably be guys who`s reputation in the past has made them feared guys like Borgesi and Merlino in philly Bellomo, Russo, Sonny Franchese, Jo Jo Corezzo and Danny Marino in New York, DiFronzo, Vena and solly D in Chicago, Jack Giacalone and ruggerta brothers in Detroit, Stagno and Majuri with the decavs and Spagnelo in Boston.

These are just examples but it will be interesting to see when these guys who are feared because of there pasts today die or retire because when the next generation take over will they be as feared as the older guys? alot of these guys are living of there past reputations hell the philly mob under Ligambi were not even living of there own reputations they were living of past mobsters reputations guys like Scarfo and Stanfa.

I am sure there is a number of the younger guys today who are killers but even them cannot be compared to the guys of the past the days of Demeo Scarpa are gone and they are never coming back

Gangsterreport what I would say is: for sure there won't be another demeo but for sure a young wiseguy ( Arillotta was almost 50s or less) exist.

Sal Calautti in Toronto was suspected in at least 5 unsolved OC hits before being killed in 2013, including the Nic Rizzuto and Gaetano Panepinto hits. He was acquitted in the murder of giuseppe congiusta in the late 90s and charged in another shooting in 2000

You have all them brooklyn guys that did alot of hits in the 80tys and 90tys but they all just recently got out and probaly haven't touched a gun in 20 years. The philly guys were killing rite up to 99. Vijay gorgeous was getting his hands dirty in 2003. They say that guy meldish had 20 hits but that black guy who shot him is linked to shooting another guy all in the last few years. I bet there's a no name made guy on Staten island or brand with a few.

Basciano had the 3 known hits, plus an unconfirmed hit at a social club in Queens (discussed in the book), and had Aiello shoot up Joe Bonelli's house.

The Bonelli thing wasn't a hit, per se, but obviously not the sort of thing that the other families are doing these days.

I'd say Basciano was the most violent, hands down.

i agree he was ruthless in 5 years 2000-2005 he had four guys killed. He also was involved in a plot to kill another mobster which never wen through because i think the guy flipped

Ligambi had three guys killed in four years aswell 1999-2003. I would say Merlino is alson a very ruthless boss not just what he did in the 90s even from prison he had johnny gongs killed in 2003 and has alleged ties to the DiePieltro murder and if you include the murders in the 90s he is in double digits the amount of guys he has had killed
