GOTTI :> PERSICO IS RAT

I think I read once that J. GOTTI was calling CARMINE PERSICO a rat for admitting that there was LCN and he was a member. During commission trial (persico represented himself ,I think).

If true , I don't count that as ratting. Maybe in 30's to 60's it might of been.

If you are talking about the tapes that the feds have on him, what he was saying was every member in the Commission Case was a rat for allowing their lawyers to utter La Cosa Nostra in the courtroom and their clients being members of the organization.

The Feds and Prosecutors love taking pleads from mobsters and as part of their deal, the mobster is required to give an allocution admitting their involvement in organized crime. They love that. Doing that however violates their Omertà oath inasmuch that it's supposed to be a secret criminal society. Gotti was a stickler about that and would go ballistic if someone took a plea. His view was go to court even if they catch you with the smoking gun.
If you notice the Westside has for awhile been taken pleas as have other families aswell to get the lightest sentence and get back to working the streets. Why get hit with a max, just plea to the charges and move on.

I'm not a Gotti follower like most, for the same reason that I'm not an Eminem fan, if you can figure that riddle out your a damn Einstein.

But i do like one thing about him his son said, That he could get picked up for robbing a church and deny it with the steeple sticking out his ass. That's a criminal to the core.

I wonder what Gotti would think about his son, John A. Gotti, talking to the feds, doing a proffer session, accepting a plea deal, and ultimately admitting the existence of not only the Gambino LCN but also admitting to being an active member of that organization?

Gotti is spinning in his grave about what his rat son did. He might have tolerated the plea but not the rat. Does anyone think that Gotti would have wacked his son if Sr. found out Jr. ratted?
