The longshoreman wouldn't say anything , even after some drinks but a few hours later it was settled

They have real power , especially with more products being made outside the US

Considering the ongoing mob cases on the waterfront over the past 15 years, their complaints against the Waterfront Commission seem a little ridiculous.

After I got thrown out of HS a friend got me a job at Flota Mercante Grancolombiana a Colombian steam ship company office on Pier 3 in Brooklyn.

Once we got on the piers we were stealing like no ones business. They were also smuggling in cocaine. It was welded to the outside of the ship below the water line. Just like in the movie French connection 2.

They finally got caught the guy and woman who hired me disappeared.

Then I moved in export important business off and on for years.

Here is a joke working on the piers. Guy just gets a job on a crew. They would unload off the ship. The guy who ran the gang is talking to his men.

We going to unload fertilizer today. I going on the ship and take a bag hand it to one man and pass it to another and then to another and another and another then he will give to Enzo the new guy on the truck. Enzo says ok boss. Then the boss says one day many years from now you may have my job. Enzo thinks boss aren't we doing the same thing. Everyone starts laughing. Enzo says what's so funny. Then the boss says to him can you see once your the boss you take no shit from nobody.
