His whole "my uncle made me do it!" routine is so transparent.

Re: New thinking of old philip leonetti - 01/29/16 04:20 PM

The guy is a gangster , was raised a gangster . The reason he is not running that family is because he got busted and could not do the time .

If there is any truth to the excuse he uses about his son it's only cos of the shape of the family when ther all went away .

If his uncle did not go down at same time or if his cousin Chris was still in the family to watch over Phil son then maybe he would not have flipped.

You are what you are and he left with cash and was able to make a good living so he did not have to go back to his gangster ways ....but he is what he is ....with all the rats running around they may start there own family and take over the shit that's left ...

He made the smart move. For his family and himself. Selfish obviously and a rat, but he ended up doing well for himself.

The way he speaks is so slick, like a snake oil salesman.

There were a few telling moments during that interview where you could see the old Phil Leonetti, like when he was getting flustered by the interviewer's line of questioning.

Yea no doubt he would put a gun right in the reporters face if he kept pushing.

I can not remember what interview it was with him but there was a window in the background and through that window I could tell where they were doing the interview .
They did the dam thing five houses from Scarf Inc. catty corner from Angeloni's , I know the owner of the building and he was always close to Phil.

Just hard to believe that it was right across the street.
I keep saying Phil was no joke .. And he was brainwashed from thr grit go !!!
At 16 he was a totally different person then he was all the years prior .

His uncle did a good job fucking his head up ... And making a calm and cool altar boy , a stone cold killer quick.

And you can bet your ass if the family was like it was in the 70's and 80's like he remembers it and it was doing well ... He would be dying to get back just like the Crow but there is nothing like it was ....

Some how, i see that would b a reality, although i believe he would have run the family a alot better than his fuckhead uncle, being much more diplomatic & reasonable..maybe,(Philly Mob,circa 2014)..Phil Leonetti /boss...Philip Narducci/underboss..Joe"chickie"Ciangialini/consigs..etc.....in a different world..

If he did the time, he would be getting out in a few years I think.

It definitely would have been interesting to see what his move would be, when he was released... Would he have enough guts and soldiers to try and wrestle back control of the family? Would he try and take control independently or with whatever backing his uncle has?

I think a lot of the Scarfo faction guys that remain, probably held a grudge for his quick rise through nepotism.

Leonetti is what he is. I mean he grew up with a psychopath raising him so that probably explains why he doesn't have a lot of feelings for human life. HOWEVER he has stayed out of trouble which is very rare for a former wiseguy. Henry Hill, Gravano, and a ton of other guys were given second chances and blew it. Im not defending Phil or giving him credit but at least he hasn't gone back to the "life" since he got out

Phil stole his uncles money which he had stashed with the help of the feds who raided Nicky's properties after he was rounded up in that last indictment in the 80's, and Phil flipped letting them know about it. That's why he's a success story, he had the ability to take from a large stash of illicit funds, and in turn use that to aide his new life and get into whatever business he desired, which again, was concrete and construction. Most turncoats don't have the priviledge of wealthy uncles who are incarcerated which they can steal from.

a camorrista said that when he was young had knowed that there other things out the hood and other way of life he won't be a camorrista; Yes leonetti blindly obeyed to his uncle and become the youngest underboss, but at some point decided to change life: was stay with his uncle and get 45 y to life or flip and made a new life for him,his wife and more important for his son.
IMO if leonetti don't had a son he will done his time and today will be the boss.

Re: New thinking of old philip leonetti - 02/01/16 04:25 PM

He took money from both ends . He got his stash that his girl went and got the day he flipped no one knew .
She went right in the office and went to the spot he told her , she came out with a minimum of three large boxes oversized shoebox type.

She walked to her car put a couple in her car came to me out side Angeloni's with one box in her arms went inside with me called her sister over and said out loud Phil just "flipped " we all looked at each other and shrugged our shoulders She turned to me and said my name and said I will never see them again and asked if I had any money to give them to help them , I did ...

Now you have to remember I seen these people every day of my life for 30 years at this point , so I gave her some money .
She and her sister kissed we hugged and I never seen her again.

Now the part about the feds I don't know but I did hear it ....

Serp, growing up in the area you did, how come you decided to give money to someone who flipped? Wasn't that a no no?

Re: New thinking of old philip leonetti - 02/01/16 07:38 PM

Phil his girl grew up next to Angeloni's for half her life then they moved five houses away across from Phil and Scarf inc . I knew the four sisters and the youngest brother when it happened , it's like losing your neighbor and a friend I grew up with these people .

I had no loyalty either way it was over by then .... I would do it again and they have done the same for me and people in my family just in a different circumstance .

You know Dante he ratted but that's it .
What I mean is he never took it any further .

He could have gone down to Friends and associates and had them caught up cos that's who was doing all the other shit .
Granted he or they never came back from a hit or anything big and just come out and say it to any of us .
But these are the people that were getting them cars and getting them guns and girls and all other things and there were many.

He never crossed that line and that's why I think he is excepted by the people around here and he has been around and has asked favors and quite a few other things and they have done it with out saying shit .

It also could be cos of Jr. Getting shot and most likely by the same guy that took over the mob and the people down here don't see eye to eye with Skinny they don't or did not like his actions down here .

But he could have buried a lot of people around here just by going down to associates and or friends on the outskirts ....

He has said that his uncle wont die until something happens to him, so far, his prediction hold's suprisingly well..nicky's lineage runs well when it comes to age as well as probable revenge determination.
