Thanks for posting that.
I would guess that these little gangs are involved in "interstate commerce". In other words, they appear only local, but aren't really.

The map is extremely incomplete; it lists nothing in Howard Beach or Ozone, even though these areas are historically gang heavy. The only area that seems complete in Queens is Jackson Heights and Corona.
I was surprised to see the Flushing gang "Original Flushing Crew". They fought MS-13 for a few years here. It didn't end well...
