Polish Mob in the US

There apparently is a Polish/Polish American mob group in Philly ( http://citypaper.net/articles/2002-12-12/cb3.shtml ) so I thought I'd make a thread about the Polish mob in the States .

Anyways what hard data exists on Polish/Polish American organized crime in the US ? What areas are said to have Polish OC activity ? What are their main rackets ? As an aside does anyone know anything else about the Kielbase Posse ? All I know about them is what I read in that article and I'd like to learn more if possible .

I dug up some info once the " Greenpoint Crew " a mostly Polish gang/mob group/street crew that operated in Greenpoint , Brooklyn . Unfortunately I'm not able to find the link now .

If you look at the names of the defendants , you'll see that they're mostly Polish .

I would imagine that Chicago with its large Polish population has Polish organized crime? I don't know this to be true, I'm asking....

this is another one of those topics that come up every few months like clockwork. and everytime you get the same couple of links about the philly and Brooklyn guys. each of the links are pretty much a decade old, and theres been no new news because theres nothing really to talk about. I don't think theres a single neighborhood in Brooklyn that hasn't changed over the past 10 years and greenpoint is no exception. don't get me wrong, im sure just like in just about every other immigrant pocket, the people there want to gamble and theyres always gonna be someone there to take their action. but is there a serious OC group there? I doubt it.

Has this topic really come up before ? I specifically searched for it but nothing came up . I apologize if I'm beating a dead horse here .
