Was John Gotti a wifebeater?

I've been reaading some the biographies on Gotti and it meantions a lot about how he and his wife has somewhat of a troubling relationship. They talk about big arguments and him moving out every few months, but I was wondering at all if he was known to lay his hands on women?

I ask this because a guy who hits a woman is the lowest of the low.

how is anyone going to know? i mean come on what sort of question is that. I know vicky was wild back when she was young him and john very wild but as far as wife beating how would we know. Only people who would know our vicky (she never mentioned it) and maybe the kids who also never mentioned it

Even if he did the kids would never say. After trying to read Victoria Gotti's book about her father, all she does is talk about what a saint her father was and that every bad thing he ever did was simply a misunderstanding.

The irony is that according to Vicky, her dad said "if u are going to write that book, don't make me out to be a saint. I was no choir boy and u write it as your own"

Out of the Gotti kids, only Peter & Angela strike me as somewhat honest when answering questions. Whereas Vicky is extremely conniving & john jr too.

Kasmsn is a scum but I think there's some truth to what he said- that Gotti only liked Angie & peter. Vicky was too headstrong for her dad's liking...

What an excellent question, well according to the taped visits from Vicky and others inside the prison Gotti would go into a tirade against his own grandkid threatening to kill him. So the question is do threats beget violence or does violence cause threats?

Agreed. Angel Peter and to some extent John Jr are pretty honest about their father. They all agree he killed or ordered Favara's murder. Only Vicky lives in a fantasy world

that was just johns personialty he would never hit his kids or his wife like i said i have heard storys of him scaring his kids but never hurting them but how the fuck would we know or care the obsession with gotti is ridiculous
