Re: George Mortarano Released - 10/07/15 07:38 PM

Wow was reading about this guy forever. I seen on yahoo homepage 6000 federal drug offender getting out in the next 2 months and I kinda thought this guy would and he was doing life wonder if he's on any parole he did like 30 flat dam. guess he's probaly not going back to south philly to be around dudes who killed his dad but his father was rich so he probaly has a few things to collect or sell. Real estate ect. Or scarfo puts the bug in his ear kill all.

Re: George Mortarano Released - 10/07/15 07:39 PM

When they killed long john that must have pissed scarfo off cause think he made him and some other guy scarfo made got killed in the early 90tys forgot name.

Re: George Mortarano Released - 10/07/15 07:59 PM

It sounded like his and Scarfo attorney Simone gave him some bad advice or the judge totally f'd him. Prosecutor recommended something much much less than what he got. 30 plus years in the can for a nonviolent crime. Wow.
George doesn't seem like a gangster though - may just ride off and visit the closest tug joint rather than head to south Philly

Re: George Mortarano Released - 10/07/15 09:36 PM

i thought it was just weed

the prosecutor recommend 50 months and he gets 30 years it was his father who brought him into the life the guy was not a gangster the whole thing was ridiculous

Re: George Mortarano Released - 10/07/15 10:29 PM

I thought the father had him proposed and hit some speed guy and the girlfriend and that's why the prosecutors never relented on keeping him in for life. Double murder in a restaurant. He was masked. And it's Tommy del an crow couldn't link him the mask helped.

I think he is still locked up I am acquaintances with his cousin and he hasn't said anything or posted it on facebook and he carries the water all the time for his cousin and teh fact that he was railroaded, maybe Im wrong but it would seem his family would be excited

Re: George Mortarano Released - 10/08/15 03:39 PM

No. He's out. There's a photo posted on the real deal of him and the lawyer who helped get him out.

His father supposedly proposed him for membership, and the Steve Bouras murder was the hit which got Cowboy his Button, supposedly. There's some debate with that though. And I believed he was dealing in p2p or meth, which is what got him indicted .

Kind of off topic. What is his relationship to Steve Mortarano, cousins, nephew?

Good for him tough sentence but he was involved in some things probably with his dad and growing up there in s philly but that was his first conviction and that was crazy time to be sent away for that charge...looks like george hamilton now

Re: George Mortarano Released - 10/08/15 08:39 PM

i felt bad for the kid he will i am sure stay straight he did not desevere the time he got i know raymond told the crow in the late 80s when they were both in the can that if geogre ever gets out he will try and get geogres button with the gambinos and that raymond had reached out to john gotti who gave the green light but that 1986 this is 2015 i think he will be straight model prisoner and now his father is dead i dont think anyone is there to force him into life

i dont think geogre was involved in the murders he was like raymond no violence themselves never raymond would not hurt a fly himself he would use others

interesting there is a well known theory that geogre antastia talked about raymond was the one while in the can who told the crow that scarfo was trying to kill him and that caused crow to flip the reason raymond did it was he wanted the crow to flip as payback for scarfo and the lawyer which raymond believed purposly made his kid geogre get the long sentence

raymond hated scarfo as time went on

Great to hear! It's well deserved, and a long time coming. Welcome home, George. It's a shame you had to do 32 years for nonviolent crimes when we have rapists, child molesters, and killers who end up cutting deals and copping pleas to lesser charges and doing FAR LESS time than you did.

Here is the pic of George and his attorney, Theodore Simon, on 10/5/2015 (his release date) outside of Coleman FCI:

Good for him. Fucking Feds are like that one asshole tough guy but with infinite resources. He still is lucky tho after killing somebody and selling tons of blow and meth at least he has 15-20 years of his life to enjoy.

Re: George Mortarano Released - 10/09/15 04:18 PM

According to prosecutors, Cowboy controlled a $75-million-per year organized crime drug empire. This was before he was caught with the literal truckload of marijuana. He also pleaded guilty to possession with the intent to distribute heroin and cocaine. So him getting a life sentence solely off a weed charge, is false.

his father was the real power and your telling me he deserved life without parole when he was suposed to get 52 months

geogres sentencing he said he did not do three of things in the indicment

At the first sentencing proceeding, Martorano only contested three of the facts in the government's sentencing memorandum that went to the defendant's guilt: (1) whether Martorano was a career criminal, (2) whether the street value of the drugs allegedly sold yearly by the enterprise was $75,000,000 (as the government alleged) or some lesser number of millions, and (3) whether the government, rather than Martorano, had supplied the heroin used in the sting operation that led to Martorano's arrest. Jt.App. at 158-160.

no way did he deserve a life sentence sure he deserved time but its ridicolous and so is the 75million inflated

Where'd I say he deserved a life sentence? I simply disputed the claim that he was given a life sentence on a weed charge. It's simply inaccurate.

Re: George Mortarano Released - 10/10/15 08:08 PM

Now, this is a story all about how
Horsehead flipped-turned upside down
And Crazy Phil like to take a minute
Just sit right there
He'll tell you how he became the mafia prince of a town called Philly

In South Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground was where Skinny Joey spent most of his days
Chillin' out extortin' hustlin' all cool
Mikey Chang shootin' some b-ball outside of the school
When Veasey and Colletti up to no good
Started making trouble in their neighborhood
Joey got in one little fight and Rita got scared
She said 'You're movin' with your Uncle Lawrence to Boca

Skinny whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said Florida and it had dice in the mirror
If anything he could say that this cab was rare
But he thought 'Nah, forget it' - 'Yo, home to Boca

Crazy Phil pulled up to the house about 7 or 8
And he yelled to the cabbie 'Yo home extort ya later'
He looked at his kingdom
He was finally there
To sit on his throne as Mafia Prince of Philly
