It's there, not like the old days, but there is still an organization. It appears that Carmen DiNunzio is the top dog at the moment.

Re: Who rules on Boston ? - 09/08/15 04:19 PM

Lots of speculation, DiNunzio seems like the obvious choice but you still got people who think Limone is calling the shots, and I remember reading an article that said Spucky was the boss after his recent indictment. Scott Burnstein also brought up a providence guy Tony Parillo who he said was coming up in the organization. If anything, we're gonna start seeing some action when these casinos go up (as we already have with associate Lightbody) and guys inevitably get booked for one thing or another.

New England's organization is in a lot better shape than most give it credit for, that's certain.

I'm not saying that it's impossible for Carmen to be the boss, but I've never heard any significant proof or claims that he was the boss of the family. If anything, the feds have had him as the underboss since at least as far back as 2006.

His brother, Anthony, was the "acting boss" until he got sentenced in 2012. Manocchio retired in 2009 and surrendered the position to Limone, who was his consigliere. And, in the indictment last year, the FBI had Spucky Spagnolo as the acting boss. So that would seem to me that the most reasonable option would be that Limone is still the "official" boss; whether or not he has any real power or say on the streets is unknown. He could just be a figurehead for all we know.

If Spagnolo ends up going to jail, then it very well could be that the Big Cheese ends up as the next acting boss. Hell, he very well could be the most powerful figure in Boston right now, but there is no proof that he is boss of the family.

your right i dont know for sure if he is boss i meant to say my personal opinion is that carmen is the real boss.

Spagnolo has been indicted he is not in the postition run the family. Peter simone i read is losing it mentaly and has little to do with the family.

Who else matty g does not have enough power and is based in the weakened rhoden island faction. Parallo has power but nothing like the cheeseman

he was baby shacks number two and if he did not get indicted he would have become boss after shacks retired.

Even if its not in name in my opinion he is the most powerful guy in boston and that means the family as the rhoden island faction has been weakened (bobby deluca etc) recently

carmen has his whole crew as well which must increase his power and two of his guys got made recently which shows his increase in power

While I do agree that DiNunzio most likely regained the reigns, I find it amusing that a dude who goes by Gangsterreport only provides links and gets his info. from a site called GangsterReport. wink

If limone is still an good health he's probaly off probation. Guys a lifer he won't stop to the grave. Even if it's in name only like riggi was till he died down there. I'm still waiting to fox news runs up on baby shacks if he's still walking around federal hill or if Peter dines in the north end. Like philly this is probaly the most guys they had on the street since along time. Not saying there making money like back in the day.

The feds took a few weak links Rossetti n deluca and nothing came from there defection. But the strip club shit that I bet is still going on at practicly every seedy strip club in N.E. in some shape or the other.

Keep your name, its fine.

If it bothers you, just throw it in your signature that you aren't affiliated. No big deal.

Ok put it in my signature smile

Thats not Scott if that's what you're attempting to imply. He already has an account on this forum, and isn't one of those douchebags who make alternate accounts or promote bs articles for hits.

Really don't understand the gripes GangsterReport . com has been getting from this forum lately. Its like every topic made by this guy or which he comments in turns into a "let's bash Scott and his website" party. When in all actuality, he's pretty acclaimed as an OC reporter/author.

And The Cheeseman is the boss, IMO.

Re: Who rules on Boston ? - 09/09/15 01:13 AM

My opinion about the Patriarca's...it's probably somewhat fragmented. What I mean is, I'd be surprised if the Providence "hierarchy" meets up with the Boston "hierarchy" more than once or twice a month. There's too much heat on all these guys and for their sake, I hope they're smart enough to realize that but who knows. I'm thinking that the "crews" are loosely affiliated at this point but what do I know??

Wasn't there a story about Carmen inducting a couple new guys? If he's on restricted parole, or whatever they call it, I just can't imagine he'd risk his freedom to make 2 new guys.

As good a likelihood as any.

Re: Who rules on Boston ? - 09/09/15 01:41 PM

What I find interesting about Boston is that a lot of guys in important positions who went away in the 80's/90's, did their time, and now want nothing or very little to do with the current operations. Ferrara, Digiacomo, Lepore, Carrozza etc. etc. You hear very little about them. They stood up, did their time, earned respect and the right to be left alone I guess.

Good point. Let me rephrase it. They are smart enough not to take certain official leadership positions which may put them back under the microscope.

Re: Who rules on Boston ? - 09/09/15 04:55 PM

You guys crack me up trying to uncover the inner workings from the internet.

Limone is the boss, Carmen is the street boss, Anthony the underboss and Matty Guglielmetti is the new consigliere. Anthony (Spucky) Spagnolo was the acting street boss while Carmen was/is on restriction.

There is a hand full of guys like you said in the Boston part made under Jerry. Don't want to do more decades. Guess there semi active like most lcn dudes with deep pockets. I'm sure there must have been a big turn out of guys at Frank A funeral not to long ago.

Re: Who rules on Boston ? - 09/10/15 02:52 AM

Definitely wonder about some of those guys that were big players back in 90's that have been out for some time now. With the way the state police & Feds go after these guys, I feel like if they're involved they would've been busted by now.
