I don't mean the mobsters that was tortured before be whacked ,
but those Mobster maybe sentenced to life, that as Gotti died of cancer in prison or as Vito cascio ferro that in 1943 died of hunger in prison because when were evacuated the inmates, was forgotten in the cell.

There was a guy in Boston who wanted to avenge his brothers murder so a bunch of guys tied a rope around his neck to the back of his ankles put him on his stomach and let him slowly strangle himself in a trunk.

Speaking of Lansky and Gotti, cancer deaths etc: it has always made me wonder why did so many mafiosi and mafia associates die of cancer? I don't remember all the names right now, but I just got the impression the number is so big that it's as if somebody put a cancer curse on the Cosa Nostra confused

cigs and alcohol might have something to do with it. plus a lot of the old timers that died of cancer lived in an era where the treatment was less than effective.

There are people who don't smoked for years and died of lung cancer and heavy smokers who live amost 100 y.
However, the mobster is a difficult job: always in the way to make the most money possible with the fear of being killed or by scum with which has to do make business, or by their "friends", with the risk to go to jail, even forever etc.
Researches say that stress damages the immune system, and maybe predisposes to cancer as well as hypertension and other diseases.
No curse, just stress.

Angelo Patrizzi, vowed revenge for the hit on his brother Joe Porter, didn't end well for him.
