FBI Corrupt Agents List - 08/23/15 05:33 PM

http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-07-26-wrongful-conviction_N.htm

FBI special agents have the reputation of incorruptible, than the city polices, seen as corrupted and inefficient.

In real life hasn't been so, starting when the FBI of Boston made end up in jail four innocent who were criminals, but always innocent, to save Barboza and destroy La Cosa Nostra.

Gertner said Boston FBI agents knew mob hitman Joseph "The Animal" Barboza lied when he named Joseph Salvati, Peter Limone, Henry Tameleo and Louis Greco as Deegan's killers. She said the FBI considered the four "collateral damage" in its war against the Mafia, the bureau's top priority in the 1960s.

Then as the new danger are the drug cartels that have a economic resources from them that the American Mafia not even dreams, how many FBI agents turned out to be corrupt?

Knowned List of corrupt agents

John Connolly, allied of winter hill gang
Harold Paul Rico, allied of winter hill gang,Peter Limone, Henry Tameleo, Joe Salvati and Louis Greco, ends up in jail for fbi orders.

Really? I stand corrected.

He retired now?

Not guilty because he weaseled his way out. The court sentences are not Gospel, many times innocents are convicted, and EVEN MORE OFTEN guilty ones are let go. Scarpa did wreak too much havoc to believe his personal handler DeVecchio didn't know anything and wasn't involved.

Didn't Casso have an FBI guy on his payroll?

Didn't Casso say that Caracappa and Eppolito were fall guys and that he gave information about corruption at federal level that was swept under the carpet?

Yep, he was in trouble and even had other FBI agents under him testify against Lin, but Gerry Capeci saved the day. He had tapes from 11 yrs prior where Linda (chief witness) told a completely different story thus rendering her testimony in court as lies (so Lin was very lucky) he had corruption written all over him even to this day

Brooklyn Judge slams FBI Agent DeVecchio:

In a stunning burst of candor, a Brooklyn federal judge said he has long believed that a former FBI agent who beat a murder rap was a rogue G-man, the Daily News has learned.

Judge Edward Korman’s damning words were buried in a transcript of a 2012 court case for mob informant Gregory Scarpa Jr.

Scarpa was seeking a reduction of his racketeering sentence as a reward for helping the feds find explosives hidden in the home of Oklahoma City bomber Terry Nichols.

Korman suggested that the government opposed the motion because the FBI might still have a grudge against Scarpa for his willingness to testify against former agent Lindley DeVeccchio. DeVecchio was accused of helping Scarpa’s father, also named Greg, who was a capo and also a mob rat, kill rivals during the Colombo family civil war.

“It was my view and remains my view that Lin DeVecchio provided information to Scarpa that got people killed,” Korman said, according to the transcript.

“I found it pretty outrageous and the bottom line was, of course, nothing happened to Lin DeVecchio. He was permitted to retire and in his retirement was actually doing background checks for the (FBI),” the judge said.

The Brooklyn district attorney’s case against DeVecchio fell apart mid-trial when a key prosecution witness was caught in a lie.

Korman had presided over the mob trial of Colombo gangster Vittorio (Vic) Orena in the 1990s when allegations of improper conduct by DeVecchio were first raised.

The judge declined to comment Wednesday.

DeVecchio provided information "that got people killed," according to Korman. The former FBI agent was accused of helping the father of Greg Scarpa Jr., who was seeking a reducing of his racketeering sentence.
“Obviously, I disagree with the judge’s opinion,” DeVecchio’s lawyer Doug Grover told The News.

Korman reduced Scarpa Jr.’s sentence by 10 years this week, blasting the FBI and federal prosecutors for refusing to acknowledge the mob scion had actually done a good deed.

“I commend Judge Korman for not being intimidated by the blue wall of silence and speaking his mind,” said Sandra Harmon, author of the book “Mafia Son: The Scarpa Mob Family, the FBI, and a Story of Betrayal.”

DeVecchio was charged with helping Scarpa Sr., who was his prize informant, carry out four mob hits from 1984 to 1992, at the height of the Colombo war.

Robert Hansson, was giving information for 15 years. He is the highest ranking agent that I know that was helping the Soviets.

Earl Pitts, was giving information for 5 years, and possibly techniques and procedures of FBI protocol when he became an instructor.

There was an FBI informant who was also giving the KGB information of nearly 30 years. I think he is the one you might be thinking of Furio.

Patriarca also was framed by Rico and Barboza. His family could have joined lawsuit but chose not to. They didnt want to do anything to screw up the others case . Those guys were on death row for 6 years and only were spared when Massachusetts abolishe death penalty The FBI would have stood by and let them be executed. It was a sad era.

That's the first time I hear a theory that Patriarca was framed. The ones framed for the Deegan murder were Tameleo, Limone, Greco and Salvati. But Patriarca's and Tameleo's conviction for the Marfeo and Melei murders weren't frame-ups I think. They had the strongest motive to whack them anyway, who do you think did this if not Patriarca?

Re: FBI Corrupt Agents List - 01/08/16 10:11 PM

Not FBI but if y'all haven't heard of the PANAMA unit down in South Texas they were like a Training day style narcotics squad. The head chief Sherrifs was even invovled since his son was in charge of the unit.

The FBI pretty much was incorruptible until they were forced to lower their standards. After that, they went downhill.

Are you referring to Agent hiring after Hoover's death? Because Connolly was hired when he was still alive. this is from Wikipedia:

"On August 1, 1968, U.S. House Speaker John William McCormack wrote a personal note to J. Edgar Hoover on behalf of a constituent. The letter began, "Dear Edgar, It has come to my attention that the son of a lifelong personal friend has applied to become a special agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation..." He was appointed to the FBI in October 1968. FBI Supervisor John M. Morris, who would also face charges of corruption, was Connolly's supervisor during much of his time working for the FBI."

Actually when Truman created the CIA, the FBI started to take short cuts in procedures and citizens rights to obtain information and arrest criminals, especially during the Red Scare. From 19 50s to the 1970s, they were breaking all kinds of civil laws, it stands to reason that is where a lot of corrupt agents in the Bureau started to go sway. That Panama Unit in Texas with the Sheriffs was actually financed by a secret FBI account that was used to conduct FBI operations in foreign countries, notably Latin America, mainly to keep tabs on foreign operatives that frequent the US.

All fucking scum bags. Way lower than a real criminal. Lowest of the Low if you're sworn to uphold the law and you instead use that to your advantage to commit and get away with crime. I wish someone on the Orena side would have caught scapra in a car with Lin and blown both their fucking heads off. Corrupt agent and a rat bastard

Not Capeci but his colleague & sometime writing partner Tom Robbins, then of the Village Voice, had the tapes--

Delvecchio got very lucky-- and was epsecially lucky Tom Robbins a lot more honest than he himself could claim.

I think he's referring to Scarpa as the rat and not Lin, the corrupt agent.
