Cleveland family apparently pretty active

Cleveland family apparently pretty active - 07/19/15 06:55 PM

My mates dad lives here in the states. Said the mafia here is very active and infiltrates loads of legitimate businesses. He's a well off middle class guy but says it is blatant to see them and they leach off the Italian community here. Not taking his word as gospel but found it very interesting to hear this from somebody who lives here and active in local legit business here..

Re: Cleveland family apparently pretty active - 07/19/15 07:10 PM

honestly if hes well off and middle class he's probably never seen a made guy in his life. most legitimate guys get to know wiseguys bc they have their own issues with gambling, coke, alcoholism, etc.... at least half of them are some kindof addict anyways

Re: Cleveland family apparently pretty active - 07/19/15 09:12 PM

The Cleveland family has been finished for years. In fact, with the recent arrest of Gambino member Carmine Agnello, one Cleveland law enforcement official said traditional organized crime had been gone in that city for some time. There are only a few Cleveland members still living.

Re: Cleveland family apparently pretty active - 07/19/15 10:11 PM

I Hear what your saying, doubt my mates dads a mob expert but he is a local so I did respect what he said. He never said he had seen made men but he did say he had experienced mob corruption in Cleveland businesses and stated that they prey on the local Italian community in Cleveland. Lived there for 15 - 20 years. May just be remnants of mob here. Definitely oc though from what he truthfully said.

I'm sure there's plenty of gambling and shylocking going on, but it's not something organized. I've been to Cleveland a few times over the years and there really is no Italian community left in the city. What you have are college students at Case Western University surrounded by tens of thousands of blacks.

Cleveland has at least 50 made guys operating.

Re: Cleveland family apparently pretty active - 07/22/15 03:11 PM

No offense , but if you really think or believe cleveland has 50 made guys , you are in a fantasyland !!! Maybe in th 40s or 50 s even if then .! There are a few guys left & still operate as lcn but it is under ny or chicago .there are alot of associates ( real) & a whole lot of wannabees. They keep everyday jobs & work to keep off heat & believe this- if carmine didnt kick back( which went thru ny & back to cleve) he would have never opened up or been able to operate. That you can believe as true as there is a moon !!! Maybe some people who post should really know what they speak of bfore posting.its easy to write bs & hit send.im from the hill always will be - still visit 3-4 times a week & I Do know past & present very very well .not boasting but setting it straight.if i just mentioned a nickname- anyone who knows - would know me !! LCN never left - they changed is all & formed new allegiances. Think of cleve people i
PA too---- later & stay off the internet or drugs

Re: Cleveland family apparently pretty active - 07/22/15 06:21 PM

lonardo said cleveland family had 60 members at its peak
Posted By: Spadine

Re: Cleveland family apparently pretty active - 07/23/15 03:59 PM

Thats bullshit & that is exactly what led to clevelands demise. They really didn't make enough guys & it ended up costing them.prior to scalish & after - it was even less .Cleveland had alot of good connections, & small enough as to ny or chicago - they had connects in vegas & florida , just as they started to get going . They had heavy union ties & influence - but look what they morphedinto - they couldn't even knock off greene & were to much into drugs , allowing dopeheads to handle their business. There were more rats & snitches than made men. Sorry to say, since i was born & raised there

Re: Cleveland family apparently pretty active - 07/25/15 04:11 PM

Cleveland at it's peak in the 40s-50s had 60 made men but because both Scalish both Licavoli don't made new blood, the remaning made men was old in age when began the war against greene, after the irishman blown up,Carmen Zagaria a powerful associate transform cleveland on the candyshop of the drugs, selling 15 milion a year of coke,H,PCP and weed.

Zagaria can't control his drug ring and so 19 peopele were killed and the attention of the FBI led Zagaria to flip in 1983;
he was followed by underboss Angelo Lonardo in the same years and by Anthony Delmonti an associate in the early 1990s.

^^It's you're, not your.

Go to Bounce night club on the corner of W.28th & Detroit ave. on a Saturday night, you'll find your payload there, and the kind of crowd you seem you'd enjoy.

YOU'RE welcome.
