Philly Guys - 05/25/15 05:05 PM

I was at the beach all week and week end and hit bunch of my old spots .A few names were flying around and wondering if any Philly people know these sir names of possible new made guys or associates .

Not a shot of asking the persons I herd this from to elaborate of course. These guys could be made for all I know.

It was in casual conversation with people that are on the edge of the life or real close to it .I will not say first names cos I don't want to put anyone that is not in the life in a bad light.

Ranieri,Furfaro,Zagone,Perrone, Barretta, Battaglini,

I know some of these sir names and one or two of the people ,but it can not be them ,it must be a young relative getting involved.
Anyone know info into these young guns ?

Serp, Robert Ranieri is with Staino and was in on he shakedown of that FBI Agent in Philadelphia. He's a big weightlifter type.

All the bars and restaurants were jamming...
Lots of old faces and many new hanging around ,shit it could be there kids friends for all I know.

Re: Philly Guys - 05/26/15 11:20 AM

Not for nothing, but there was also a Nicasio Zagone that was Stanfa's nephew and was shot and killed somewhere up in the Northeast around the time of the Stanfa-Merlino war... Can't imagine they'd be close with someone from that side of the family (Stanfa relatives), but never know thought I'd mention it...

No one knows anything on Perrone? Interesting... Always wondered how many made guys were out there that just were never publicly identified. Seems like at the end of the day they're the smart ones, but I'm sure people that are in the thick of it know who they are.

Also, found an interesting article that talks about Genovese guys in a Fed bust on a NY Bus/Transit union... Mentions a Ciro Perrone (Capo) and a Salvatore Battaglia. No idea if these are the guys your referring to though Serp?

We did not make a stop there, but I think those days are over.
Although Jerry's father and a couple cousins were gangsters that is one of the reasons they trust him and have in the past.
Jerry father being the biggest.

This is what I am saying, many went into hiding of some sort, when whom ever they did not like or get along with became Boss .And many went straight or hung on to what ever they could.

It was not till the late 90's I think that anyone pushed on anybody(and that was short lived) that I know of.So you or they could have been making money and the Philly family did not have the know how or the soldiers(although Joey tried to do it to his own blood) to go and lean on or put a tax on them for payment.

And as far as Joey sightings one of the people we stopped to see(having a get together on there dock/deck) is a very close relative of Joey .And before Joey went away(15 years) he tried to lean on his own blood cos they or he were doing so well financially.

Re: Philly Guys - 05/27/15 09:10 AM

Serp,
I had some buddies went there on Saturday and said the place was packed they got a pic with the geator, looked like a good time for opening summertime down there. Did you happen to see the guys or hear about that caught the 800lb plus mako off of AC? I think it was a 18 hour boat trip out in atlantic for those guys, crazy

Re: Philly Guys - 05/27/15 09:25 AM

No did not ,but I have been laying low after last week .
Dam shame I have not put the news on yet.lol

And yes the bar is always packed for summer ,what I was talking about older guys...

Re: Philly Guys - 05/27/15 09:30 AM

Many of those fishing records come from our firemen ,they get paid really good(hence nice boats) and have great shifts that if they switch one or two days they can get 5 or 6 days off in a row all summer long.

I don't know if it was a charter or a couple guys heading out.

Re: Philly Guys - 05/27/15 01:26 PM

Serp that could be the case , things change and that was years ago

Ls have a huge book here , huge , probably the bank IMO , and my guess is north philly guys Clients feed into this book , he could just be a north nj philly guy

It could be i was misinformed , either way he is / was in the life , particularly gambling

Would be interesting if he was part of that huge pill bust in Nutley a few years back , which the news left out any discussion of mob . Locals know what's up tho , this scam made millions too . If he wasn't then very easy he could be a philly guy

This is just educated guesses tho , some others here prolly know more

DB-

Which pill bust are you referring to? The one with Cozzarelli or the other one with the Doctor with the last name that begins with D (I Don't even want to give him the honor of mentioning his last name, MAJOR scumbag)

Re: Philly Guys - 05/31/15 02:48 PM

Serp: I was looking at the Philly Family Chart from back in 2010 and under the North Jersey Crew's Associate list were two names that sounded familiar... Frank Furfaro and James Perrone. Wonder if these are the guys you were hearing about? Check out the link below...

The kid from the lucchese bust was not a player, he was just a runner.

Re: Philly Guys - 05/31/15 04:03 PM

The pill bust in Nutley revolved around an Indian pharmacist. Im not so sure those guys( other than the doctor) made any real money. Im also not so sure any crew was really involved.

Re: Philly Guys - 05/31/15 05:06 PM

Well I guess that makes a little sense, that a family member could have been bringing that up and the conversation kept going into these guys doing a little stuff on the side or more .(or nothing)

Then the family member or the guy makes himself and a pal to be a little more then they really are.( would not be the first time )

Possible he or they kept there mouth shut and are working with a made guy .

Re: Philly Guys - 05/31/15 06:04 PM

I'm going to have to rarely disagree with you Belmont

It was pretty big but they couldn't get far up

I rarely know much but this doesn't fall into that category
