Who started, "The Kiss of Death"?

Someone's recent Salvie post is what peaked my interest.....I remember Scarfo kissing Salvie on his lips when he got out of Al Tuna but there has to be someone who did this before him. Who was the originator?

Does it have to be on the lips AND does that always mean that you are, MARKED for death by this action?

I thought I vaguely remember Genovese doing this to someone but not sure.

A "Godmother ant" who uses "Mob" tactics to rub out rivals has been discovered by scientists.

That's the significance behind the tradition. But I doubt anyone's used it in the past twenty years or so.
