This may be a bit silly but I was wondering about what other peoples thoughts were regarding mob family presence in individual neighborhoods.
No that's a great idea. I had an idea to make a big map of LCN territory, one color for each family with a key on the side. My idea was the whole country. NYC would be dashed lines of each five families colors the more interesting aspect would be blips on areas you wouldn't expect, like WV for Pittsburgh or a colored square highlighting a town a made man ran a group out of. And eventually we could fill it out with precision. The problem is the LCN world is ever changing and a map of current OC wouldn't would be less diverse and fleshed out than a traditional map from the mob's heyday so my idea kind of stopped there. But I think a neighborhood map is really viable if anyone has graphical ability. Maybe there's some interest?
Sorry for not actually contributing
Thanks, Barret. We've got several long threads about strongest Brooklyn crews, and so forth, but classifying crew strength by borough doesn't paint a real picture, IMO.
For instance, you could walk the streets of Brownsville and Canarsie for the next ten years and never encounter a member of the Canarsie Crew. Sometimes we wax about how strong families are by borough, but don't factor in crews that have long since moved off to Lido Beach or somewhere.
Anyway, that's why I thought it would be interesting to ask. Some neighborhoods are more resilient than others. That's what I was driving at.
