Patsy Amato dead at 80

Sad. Getting cancer seems to be the worst thing to get while being incarcerated. It's hard enough getting treatment, dealing with all the side effects from chemo or radiation just being the average person I can only imagine how shitty it must be dealing with it in prison. Very sad way to go.

He was in 20+years. Then went on to kill giachino leale. Is that a Italian last name leale? He was a hitter.

Leale isn't a very common Italian name. But yeah, Leale was a hitter himself. Practically a serial killer if you look at his body of work (no pun intended with the word body).

Anyone have more on him besides wiki? Never heard of him but by no means an expert on ny mob..any insight as always much appreciated fellas

I never got it: were Orena and Amato framed or guilty? Don't know why, but with time it started interest me even more than the question who had the Kennedy brothers whacked. If Scarpa Jr says the truth that it was Scarpa Sr who killed Ocera without assistance from Amato and Orena, then how about the tape where Bonfiglio complains that Amato hadn't rewarded him for helping hide the body? If the tape is genuine, how does anyone buy Amato's innnocence theory? And, if he is guilty, could he have conspired with Scarpa Sr without Orena's authorization?
