Mobsters from Corona, Queens. - 01/05/15 09:34 PM
I thought I might start an individual thread since it came up a few times in the "Queens" thread.
Corona is almost completely non-Italian now, but even as recently as the 90's it was heavily Italian, like a smaller Howard Beach.
Still, I only know of only 2 mobsters that eminate from there:
Tony Federici
Anthony Romanello
Anyone else familar with this neighborhood?

Pizzaboy talked about it recently.Add Frank Serpico and Louis DiBono to that list.Maybe even Patsy Conte operated out of that neighbourhood.

The Serpicos were indeed from Corona. Farby Junior ended up East Harlem based and was at one time acting for Vince when Vince was sent up in '97. He died of cancer himself a few years later. Young guy, he didn't even make 60.
As far as Rom and Tough Tony, they were tight with Farby Senior (plus, there were two more Serpicos who went by Farby out there, and all of them were made. Crazy and confusing stuff).
