I was just posting about Milwaukee Phil on another board. Fairly recently, anyway. He was born in Yonkers and headed out Chicago way very young. But he maintained close ties to Yonkers where the Genovese family had a stronghold (Yonkers is just north of the Bronx, and where they overlap you really can't tell the difference).

Anyway, I've heard that he was very close to Larry "Black" Centore, who was a powerhouse with the Westside back then. And that Phil used to come back to Yonkers quite a bit, and also take part in Outfit-Genovese get togethers out in Palm Springs.

Phil died young. Larry lived a long life. He had to be in his 80's when he passed away. He was semi-active right up til the day he died. He wasn't a very nice guy, though. I know, none of them are technically "nice" guys. But at least some of them show their duality. Larry Black was miserable all the time.

Very nice. I didn't even click on it until today. And just so you know, you can upload the image so it uploads automatically. It's the fourth button from the left, or three to the right of the smiley icons. Click on "Enter and Image," then on "Insert a Non-Floating Image." If I can do it, anyone can.

Good info PB. I also know that Phil's father "Dominic" was old time knockaround guy in New York, Chicago and Milwaukee who died in the late 60s. I assume he would have strong ties to Yonkers as well. Some interrelation between Chicago and the Genovese - Louie/Tommy Ryan Eboli, Matassa/Pagano and this.

source?

without proof i do not believe it. Blasi was a longtime intimate friend of giancana, he would not have been around that party. he was no bigshot either

Re: Phil Alderisio & Tony Spiltro - 11/18/14 09:49 AM

Blasi didn't break his association with the Outfit upon Giancana's death. Most theorize that he was the one who pulled the trigger in the murder. He stayed on as a driver for Accardo into the eighties until his health started failing.

Re: Phil Alderisio & Tony Spiltro - 11/20/14 08:07 AM

He was the last one with Giancana that night. i am sure he pulled the trigger and in the book OutFit by gus russo a close person to blasi told the author Blasi told him he killed Sam Giancana .
