Largest crews in NY

Hey guys I haven't been posting much lately but I thought I'd start a discussion for all the quality poster on here, Who do you think has the largest crew in 2014 in terms of size as we'll as overall pull, crews like the Corozzo group and the Pelham Bay group of the Westside are massive in terms of amount of members, 18th ave Gambinos, Genovese former downtown crew, and the NJ crew of the Lucchese are pretty huge too, Gerry Chilli and Nicky Santora also each had two acting captains of there crews but I'm pretty sure Chilli's was half NY half Florida with one for each

Does a Capodecina title come when a Captain has a minimum of 10 made guys in his crew or is it a title when he has a combo of 10 and above of made men and associates? . Having 10 soldiers in a crew would certailny be classified as big.

You'd think most of the crews with the Westside & Gambino's have 10 made guys considering they have around 200 soldiers each.

The Ducks guys are really beefed up right now. But unfortunately it looks like quantity over quality. The guys who were just made into the old Arthur crew are both brokesters.

That bullshit gets almost as exaggerated as the numbers the Feds throw out when they pinch a sports office.

Even considering the hyperbole, if bronx's statement had any merit, we would be seeing the feds claim this crew or that crew was the biggest every time they indicted one. But they haven't. They only said it about the Trucchio crew. If one looks at the indictments and accompanying press releases, they usually don't say anything beyond the ranks of those involved (no "superbosses") and the specific charges. The feds had no reason to say what they did about the Trucchio crew unless it was true.

when you get indicted let me know if everything in it belongs there. they will tell you how big you are

I definitely agree that Trucchio had allotta relatively young guys in his crew

If I had to guess

1.) Bellemo / Muscallera / Falcetti crew

2.) Fiumara/ Depiro/ Crincoli NJ Genovese crew

3.) Upper echelon Bronx Lucchesse guys Crea / Madonna / Dinapoli construction/ concrete etc

4.) 18th Ave Gambino

We all talk about nepotism with some mob guys and a lot of sons of mobsters are far from qualified. Trucchio is the exception, the kid is a true gangster and an earner.
That said, he is in for a rude awakening when he gets out of prison, there will be nothing left. Life moved on and times will have changed drastically. The corner deli will now be some fuckin hipster coffee house.
The kid that wanted a gun with a silencer now prefers an iphone 6 with a facebook account.

The NY mob have stabilised in the last decade and according to the feds are strong then they were in the early 2000's. In 5 years time not much will change.

You don't know that, Tommy. The life is just too unpredictable to look that far ahead. One guy rats--if it's the right guy--and everything changes. I never believe those press releases anyway. The Feds have an agenda for everything. Then again, God forbid there's another terrorist attack and agents keep getting reassigned, they might just keep the status quo, which is fairly stable.

As far as Trucchio, Belmont's right. Things have changed in regards to the neighborhoods, so their criminal activity has to evolve in order for them to survive. And he is in for a rude awakening. But it has nothing to do with those changes. It's more in line with what you and I recently discussed .
