Albert ' Kid Blast' Gallo

Albert ' Kid Blast' Gallo - 08/17/14 05:42 PM

How is it after his brother hit ,that Albert his brother "Kid Blast" never retaliates on Matty the Horse (sitting right there)and could have possibly made the phone call.

Nor did anything happen to any of the Colombos.(cos one or two walked by)

Was that crew so week with out Crazy Joe , or was it crushed by the bosses.

And Albert as most know winds up in the same family as Matty.

Albert didn't want to end up like his brother. His choice was to make peace and join the Genovese or die.

I read somewhere they didn't get made in the 70 tys like we think that the guy punchy and blast got made in the late 80 tys early 90tys cause the Colombia would make a stink about it when circling the induction lists. If I remember Vic oreana had a real problems with it and thought chin was causing shit. Oreana was a gotti guy so it probably happen.

How much clout do Albert Gallo hold in the Genovese Crime Family right now? or use to hold?

Pmac Joey was the only brother made back then, so the brothers had to fall in line or be killed.

Got ya...I think thats it...

Brooklyn, and he picked up the leftovers from Allie Shades's old crew. Allie's son got a couple of those guys, Albert and Punchy took the rest. And now that Punchy's dead and Albert's semi-retired, Allie's kid holds quite a bit of sway out that way.

Mulberry :The brothers had to be close to someone in that family .

Then they could have been real good earners. But even that they had a bad rap for the stuff they did(Profaci) with Joey. How did they get a pass for that. Only to be taking in to one of the most powerful families ever...

Re: Albert ' Kid Blast' Gallo - 08/17/14 06:58 PM

I think the colombos were still trying to kill those 2 in the late 70tys so that why I kinda think they weren't made then. The gallo gang killed a lot of guys so it must have been touchy even decades later. I read that chin got them in line or told them they wold.be killed fuck sonny franses had no goods words about them in 2006 talking to one of he wired up kids. The guy punchy got shot in 76iI think

The Gallos were all VERY close to Tony Bender before any of that shit went down. And even after Bender disappeared, the inroads had already been made.

Albert's been close to the Westside all his life, and I personally think he may have ended up over there even if all that shit with his brothers didn't happen.

Didn't Bianco mention how Larry or Albert wasn't a troublemaker and that most of it seemed to come from Joe?

Ahhh so they were friends with Bender as kids or teens and it saved there life.

And it looks like that family wound up with two quality brothers.

Thanks PB

he has to be in his 80's

most other families he would probably be fully retired

them genovese boys dont know when to quit

active into their 80s and sometime 90s

I'm pretty sure Albert is semi-retired, but as you said, You never know when it come to the Genoveses. Active in their 80's and sometimes 90's. I'm also pretty sure all the younger guys look up to him and his word is well respected through the entire family. He may be in an advisory role.

That's the thing. After all these years, his world is still no bigger than President Street. So in Downtown Brooklyn, where he's revered by people enamored with that life, he'll always be looked upon in an advisory role. Outside the area, not so much. But that certainly doesn't diminish him in any way.

Because the fact is, the Westside's real strength was never in Brooklyn anyway. That he's so well respected by the old Manhattan crews, both uptown and downtown, and as far as the Bronx and Jersey, speaks volumes about the guy. He's the kind of guy they'd never put out to pasture. And that's really saying something because dinosaurs who don't earn get shelved all the time.

That's the urban legend. But the same urban legend also went one step further and claimed that he never left Manhattan, which is ridiculous. Because he used to spend plenty of time at his house in Old Tappan.

But it's all true enough in spirit, if not actual fact. Because Sullivan Street was his whole world.

Part of being in any gang or mafia is knowing when you just have to sit still and take it, fucking horrible.
